Do you drink out of the carton?

We drink the pop straight out of the bottles, my parents allow this, because they get annoyed at me for using a glass for a mouthful of pop as I only drink it when I first wake up to get the "morning taste" out of my mouth. We are all family so they are not bothered. We don't think straight out of the milk carton though.

No... I thought that was nasty... But, if it is mines, and only mines, I will drink form the carton, only if it is a tad little bit left in it.. That would be the only way that I would do this..

I just hate to see anyone do that then put it back for someone else to drink Yuch !! , but I don't mind if it is the last wee drop and it is going in the bin :) xx

It irritates me more for one of us to pour too much of something into a glass, take the one drink that was wanted, sit the rest somewhere and forget about it. It's wasteful, and sometimes even unsanitary--especially if it molds over in the glass, or spills and draws bugs! Plus, it leaves water rings all over my furniture. If one of us only wants a swallow or two anyway, why pour a whole cup just to waste it? Even I'm guilty of leaving it sitting sometimes, so you know for sure that my kids and husband are! It doesn't bother me for my crew to drink out of the juice or soda bottles, or even the milk jug. We all have each other's germs anyway, lol! HOWEVER, it's NOT an everyday occurrence. We DO NOT sit around the dinner table passing the same bottle around! We each have our own cup or glass, and we use the same cup/glass all day. I'm ONLY talking about the every-once-in-a-while swallow, or the last of the drink in the carton! The only containers I'll throw a hissy fit about is the tea pitcher. I absolutely hate that!!! I don't know why that one bothers me so much, but I can't stand it! Oh, yeah, before I forget--I DO keep extra, unopened bottles of juice, soda, and water in the cabinets specifically for when other people visit. I don't know which of us, if anyone, has swigged out of the ones in the fridge, so I just stay on the safe side, and keep extras!

No I never do either even if there is only a small drop left and will yell at the kids if they attempt to also. Ellie :D

I don't drink from the carton. I have done it a few times though when I was a child growing up. I should have got a glass but I was trying to be quiet and not wake my parents up when I got me something to drink. I have caught my daughter drinking out of the two liter and I made her stop doing that. I don't want to drink after they have swigged on the bottle.

I really don't care for cardboard or paper or wood against my lips. I have been known to drink for the little ones, but on the whole, I don't drink milk and prefer my juice from a glass.

I haven't personally done so...but my husband used to "finish" off the milk/juice, and instead of getting a glass out he would drink straight from the carton. At least it saved me from washing a glass...well you wouldn't think a man would wash one do you? LOL

Hi raydene! I don't drink from the carton. I pour some of it into my glass. My husband usually drink from the carton when I am not looking. haha..And when I catch him do it, he usually has the same reason like your son's. haha.. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

No one in my family drinks out of the milk carton. My husband has this thing that he won't drink out of something someone else has drank out of or eat off something someone else has so if the kids want a drink of what he has they have to go get a cup if and he pours them some if they want someting he has to eat they have to go get their own fork.

I'm sorry,what's wrong with drink out the carton?I do that too when I don't have any straws. Perhaps I missunderstood you,I just don't know why you can drink from the milk carton?

Yep it my house and i'm by myself..LOL..now if family is here no way would i do that since they might need a drink too.

I can't say I've never in my entire life drank from the carton but I don't remember doing it so, if I did, it must have been years and years ago.

OH! That's one of my biggest pet peeves! I catch my kids doing it and I won't drink anything that's left in the carton. They get the lectures (one after the other) but, they just won't quit! How hard is it to get a glass out of the cupboard? So, in answer to your question, no, I absolutely do not drink out of the carton! LOL
