I have read a story about the farmer who was known for his "negative" attitude. He looks things so negatively. And one day a his neighbor stopped by and commented on the farmer's wonderful crop. "You must be extremely happy with this year's harvest, "he said. The farmer grudgingly replied, "Well, yes it looks like a pretty good one, but bumper crop is awfully hard on the soil. The people of Israel has the same kind of complaining attitude. God had miraculously take care of them during the wilderness wanderings, yet they constantly complained. For example, they griped about the manna that God has so graciously provided. Remembering the fish, cucumbers, melons leeks, onions and garlic of Egypt, the whined, "There is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!"(Numbers 11:6). What ingratitude! Sometimes we too, go to life with a negative attitude to everything. I too admit have many times having it. More often we have negative attitudes in one or more aspects of our lives which holds us back in achieving our goals. Take the case where somebody unemployed and has persuaded himself that he will never work again. He lost his job because of maybe economic down turn and for the same reason after thirty or maybe more interviews over six months he failed to get a job. Each rejection became a reinforcement of the belief that he is unemployable and now he has become his own worst enemy at an interview expecting he will be rejected from the moment he arrives. He does not even bother to fill in applications most of the time because his "internal negative" apathetic, not interested voice tells him that it is not worth doing it only to be rejected. Sometimes in a relationship we also experienced badly which left us with fear of becoming involve with people again. It makes us feel that we are unlikeable. And then it all leads us to complain why such misfortunes coming unto us. My friends let us remind our selves that, "When people complained, it displeased the Lord. - Numbers 11:1" Take this, that the process of turning a negative attitude into a positive one will take time and effort with patience, persistence and the support of friends also can help us succeed in the end. Have a nice day!

Here in Holland there was a political debate on how the government had been functioning. Naturally the there were comments from the oppostion who pointed out all the promised that were made and not lived up to. Our Prime Minister (aka as Harry Potter in Belgium)said that people shouldn't complain that much. Maybe there would be a lot less complaining if good ole Harry remembered a very good rule when governing people. Give them Bread and give them Games !

Maybe there would be less complains when we chose the right person better for government positions. And the more we complain the more we put our government down. Why not do what could help our government to improve their service.

I must admit im one of them. For me its a daily struggle a daily test of patience and almost always, I fail day by day by day. Its true that when we complain those who can hear may not be blessed and sometimes can agree to rebelious remarks and its truly not a god thing to hear from a christian like me. Like the constant reminder of our ministry pastor that it s the way we live our lives that can touch people around us and who are observing how we christians react to situations. Oftentimes, I end p feeling guilty when ever I can verbalize those complaints and feel more guilt when those around me seem to get infected with what i started. Thank so much for this reminder, its a realization that slowly we can get rid of the complaining spirit and let the Holy Spirit guide us in what to do or what to say. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I too stricken by the message mommy and still a daily struggle, test to me too which I always failed. And there's an encouragement to us in Matthew 5:16"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." God bless to both of us!

I am the farthest thing from a complainer. I look to the blessings that I do have in my life. I like Numbers 11:1 I may have to use that in my book; I try to take negative things and do what I can to turn them into a positive.

Thank you for sharing. Good that you will resolve to see negatives into positive. I sometimes forgot to look things that comes on me as blessings. Instead of thanking God for it, i tend to complain why there were still things I haven't received. That's why i grieved this negative attitude within me. I always complain instead of thanking God for the things that comes. Thank you for sharing and Have a nice day ahead!
