Let it go or fix it

If you see something out of place even the littlest of thing. Do you fix it? Or do you leave it? I usually fix it but sometimes I will leave it for a couple of days then fix it. Like this morning one of my dresser drawers was slightly open and my socks were hanging out. Yes I fixed it. So how about you?

Oh I fix it right away!
I fix everybody's right away!
I'm obsessed with fixing things!
A touch of OCD maybe? LOL

I figure if our hubs knew as much as they think they do, THEY'D be the ones doing most of the fixing! LOL

I am quite fussy about things that go wrong or look out of place or broken, so I will fix it there and then, because I find it will irritate the hell out of me and I won't be able to relax or rest until it's sorted. Most of the time I can at least fix it or make it look good or compromise, sometimes if it's a big job then dependent on the money and time situation I will get it done, I am funny like that I guess.

I hate it when something is out of order. I have to adjust it right away. It bugs me to see a drawer not pushed in or a cupboard door open. Forget about a picture that is off kilter, I have to fix it even if I am at someone elses home.

Well I will be honest, I am a mess cat, pack rat. But I am not nasty. If something has the potential to draw insects, rodents, or a foul odor, it hast to go immediately. Other than that, it can stay around until I am expecting company or get tired of looking at it. Which ever one comes first.

Well now, I am not a nasty pack rat. Just a messy one. One of the reasons is that I am very sentimental. If something has meaning to me, I do not want to get rid of it. Besides I do not like throwing away things that are valuable.
What I mean by valuable is like a book. For some reason, I can not throw books in the trash. They are simply to precious to be wasted. I have a tremendous love for reading and the thought of throwing away books, just makes me sick. Also, I am always coming across things that I would like to give to people. So I store them until I see that person.
My place is very, very small and I have a roommate. So I have to be very clever at arranging things. My mother was the exact same way. When I was ten years old, she was still using my baby bed for storage. I believe that she was keeping it in case anyone ever needed it. That is the type of person she was.

If it's something large I fix it. Most of the time I am so careful with drawers because if they are partially open, I will for sure run into it. Sometimes I move things around and then can't find them..lol It's almost a joke because I can spend so much time searching for something I moved on purpose but forgot where I put it.

I may fix it or destroy it. Depends on condition.
Some cheap stuff are mean to end up on my garbage....
I don't like new furniture, easy to fall apart.

If I have time I try to fix it there and then. If it's too much for me then I ask my hubby to attend to it when he gets home. It usually doesn't get done till the weekend when I ask him lol

That will depend on how lazy or industrious I was feeling lol.
If I am not too lazy and it is a simple enough matter to fix things up, I will likely deal with it soon.
Otherwise... they can wait HAHA.

Hi There,
I guess it depends a lot on the mood I am in. Most of the time however I would fix it. I always try to get things done when I have the chance and not procrastinate. I used to be the complete opposite. So in short I would say I would fix it almost all of the time.
cheers,

LOL,Terry!!! I am totally that person. I hate when my dresser drawers are open (even slightly)! It's just like my bedroom door at night. I like to sleep with it shut and if it's not shut all the way I will get out of bed and go close it regardless of how comfortable I was in bed or not. So typically I fix it. I don't know of anything I could just leave for a couple days LOL!!! Thanks for the post :D Now I know I'm not the only one who does that :D

It depends on what it is. If I can fix it immediately then I 'll do it . but if I have to wait for a part or I don't have the time right then, I'll wait to fix it.

Well it depends on what it is and how urgent it is that I fix it:)
THings like your dresser drawer I usually fix right away, things that require more work I tend to leave it for a bit.
THen again there have been times where even something really easy to fix was left to do another day, but that's not the norm:)

Depends. If it's a super easy quick fix, I'll do it right away. But, if it involves dragging out the drill, hammer, screwdriver, whatever..I'll put it off till I have several jobs that need tending to and do them all at once.

When you say fix it, you mean put it the way it should be or where it should be. At first I thought you meant fix it like it was broken. Yes, I like everything in my house in order and I am actually a bit too fussy about it, as my daughter has told me several times. I have a dishwasher and so I don't like it when there is a dirty glass or plate sitting in the sink or on the counter. Things like that. Or if I am walking into another room and I see a pen on the floor I will pick it up and put it where it belongs, in the pen holder by the computer, so when I need one I know where to find one. I don't like clutter either so I am always picking things up and putting them where they belong.
