Pasta,should I get a machine?

I was told fresh pasta is always the best... I too have thought about buying one of these.. But I don't know.. It's all the same actually only one's fresh and the other is not... I have seen these machines and they do look pretty neat... Maybe one day i will get one myself all depends what others have to say... Great topic..

I don't have a machine and I've never made my own pasta but I make Italian dishes pretty often and I think the boxed pasta is just fine. It probably would be cheaper to make it from scratch but I'm sure it would also be a lot of work and very time consuming so I'll stick to the easy way out...lol! Annie

I don't have a pasta machine, but I'd love to have one. I've eaten homemade pasta that put store bought to shame, so my vote would be "Yes," get one if you can.

I do like spagetti ,but i use the boxed kind..I also use some form of pasta in some of my meals but i always used the box kind.I have never owned a pasta machine,and never really wanted to,because the box kind is so conveient..If you really like Pasta and you are willing to spend the time making it,than i am sure it would be worth it for you..I am pretty sure anything homemade would be better,but i just really have never liked it to the point of buying a machine...i think it would be a choice ,and depending on the person and what they like..

I think pasta machine isn't an expensive product, but it can make better pasta. So if you like eating pasta, I suggest you buy it. You can make your home pasta with your own ingredients and that's so nice. I bought many products for cooking, such as the cookie machine. Perhaps you don't think it's necessary. But when you start to make the cookies, you will understand how convenient to have it to make the super professional cookies. I think it's the same for pasta machine. I love China

I don't think you should just go out and buy one. I've made fresh pasta alot nd it does take time. I just use the cutting board to cut the dough into the with I want. With the machine you'ld have to cut the dough befor hand to make it square to fit into the machine. See what I mean? when you cut your own you can make the pasta wide or narrow! Good luck but hold off on the machine til you nake a few batches of your own! tdemex
