I do. But what is worst than that is that me roommate will come and just stand behind me. I can feel her there, so I will turn around and ask her what she wants. She'll just say, nothing, I am just thinking about what I want to do next. That frightens me. But the good news is that she is moving out on Friday.

Yes. that drives me nuts. I earn my living from home on my computer and while I am working, I would rather not be disturbed at all. It makes me so mad when someone comes up from behind me while I am working and scares me. It makes me lose my train of thought and my motivation for quite some time afterwards. I like to work and get done without disturbance.

Well, my family always do that to me ,and sometimes when I'm busy in the computer my mind is concentrated on that particular thing and I usually jump from my chair.

yes,I do get startled very much if someone approaches quietly from behind and the intention is very much to have good fun in scaring me.Though I dont like it but i cant stop this happenning with me as friends and siblings do enjoy doing this very much and very often.Sometimes I get so startled that I give out a shrieky scream.lol

Yea, most certainly. My room door is located toward the west of my computer; this means, if/when someone enters into my room, I'm easily able to have a peripheral vision of the visitor entering. So obviously, there is scarcely a possibility that someone will pass through the entire region of my peripheral vision unnoticed and startle me from behind - unless we include the weeny-yet-dangerous kinda flies and bugs.

I am able to always stay in the moment. It allows for me to be constantly in tune with my surroundings. Unfortunately it works against me as well, when trying to focus on particular tasks and there is a lot of background noise. Perhaps that is something that you should try and obtain in your life. My life changed dramatically once I was able to develop this talent. Beamer23
