Hi! I currently on my 1 1/2 months in trying to lose weight. During the first week, I went to low impact exercises. It includes kickboxing which averages about 30 minutes a day. When on the second week, I went to high impact. It then includes a lot of running and jumping. Now, i'm on my sixth week and then I felt pain on my left knee. It wasn't that painful. Only when I'm squatting and going up the stairs. It's a bit annoying. Aside from the pain, I can't go high impact anymore. I rested for 3 days and the pain went away. I put ice on it as well. Then after 5 days of low impact aerobics, the pain returned. Now, I'm on a super low impact routine. How do you go about with knee injuries? Mine is in front and above the knee.

Hello. I think stretching in a way helps in healing the injuries ... I am not really an expert, but I guess, it helps. Each time i play badminton, i would feel the strain in my thighs (well, thighs are not knees )... then I would let my muscles rest for like a day, then I would try yoga... and after yoga that's when I get relieved. :) Hope your knees are fine... :)

Hey! Thanks for the tip. Well, actually before every routine I do a couple of stretching and mostly leg stretching. It was really wondering why my knee gave up even though I'm 34 lbs. lighter.. :(

Hmmm... maybe, it is you body saying, "let's take a rest for a while..." Just do not abuse your body much. :) And there are a lot things aside from doing intensive aero that can serve as an alternative. :)

Now that you mention yeah. I was kinda abusing myself. Supposedly, the routine was 5 days , 2 days rest, and so on. I did like 10 days then 1 rest. I've also read some articles about knee overuse. It matches the symptoms the most.
