Do you turn on air conditioner in summer night?

The temperature is so high in last weekend,which is up to 30 degrees in night.I know summer is coming now.Feeling so hot,I have to resort to turning on the air conditioner all night otherwise i could not sleep well in such hot weather.
Though I know I am easily to get a cold being exposed to the air conditioner when I fall alsleep,I have no other ideas.The hot is untolerable at all.
Do you keep your air conditioner working the whole night?if not,how do you get through the hot night?
I do want to have a nice sleeping.

I suggest you buy a fan rather than an air conditioner.An air conditioner costs much not only short term but long terms.
I am thinking to buy a fan in order to save my electricity costs.

I am assuming you live somewhere other than the UK as it is still very cold here at nights, its not much warmer in the day actually lol.
We are not that fortunate to have air con in the house so when we do have hot evenings i always have the fan on and the windows open - they are a rarety here tho lol!
we do have air con in the car tho and we had it on last week as it was lovely and hot and id rather be cool than roasting!

So I got to know the weather in UK is still in winter,isn't it? amazing! Now it is summer in China.Haha.Yes,thank you for your reminding.I think fan is a good cooler to replace air conditioner to save electricity.
I do not have my own car,while the air conditioner belongs to the landlord.Oh,dear,I even have no my own house.

I can't stand if my husband will turn it on while night..LOL, We will turn it on for like 2 hours then turn off. I am glad that he is very considerate! Sometimes, when I don't really like to have it, we prefer to open our window whole night!

yup during summer nights we turn on the airconditioners. because like in china here in the philippines summer nights here are also very hot!!! and if you use only electric fan it wont help much as it will be just blowing dry air to to you...so its very economical and logical to open the air-conditioner during this time and i think night rates of electricity usage is much cheaper than day time rate...^_^ hehe enjoy Sleeping!

I have my air conditioner running from 8:00PM to 5:00 AM even summer or cold season, the only adjustment I have done was the temperature settings, right now it is a little cold here in my country so my temperature was set to 3 while last summer it was 8 for the few hours and then lower it to 6 during mid night.My kids are complaining if we do not use air condition at night.
