The longest time I can hold my breath under water is 64 seconds. The more lung vital capacity you have, the more time you can hold breath under water.

When I was a boy, I used to hold breath wherever I went (bath, swimming-pool, sea, lake etc.). I like to dive without any equipment, as well. Usually I can hold 1.5-2 minutes. My absolute record is 3 minutes, after taking more frequent practices. But as much I know, it is not good for brain to keep it at lack of oxygen.
