When wild animals get too close to people and to cities...

There used to be this bear that wandered into the city and wound up being caught in someone's hot tub. He wound up being placed in a City zoo so children could come and see him. Have you heard about wild animals who wind up getting a little too close to cities and to people? What happens in your area when this happens? What do you think should happen?

this happens because we have taken over their place of living. we cut down forests and build houses. so where would they go? poor things. Here in our state there are so many animals that stray into civilisation. like elephants rampage the fields and small villages. there are cases of big cats also prowling around. But it does not happen in my town.

I am glad that your town is free of this sort of thing... We here in the States do not know what it is like to see an elephant except in a zoo, nature preserve or a circus. The mountain lion roams free in California but usually tries to stay out of sight of most people unless it is very hungry. There are a lot of wild animals like tigers, etc. owned by private collectors... Some of these people have permits to keep them and some do not.... The police and fire departments who visit these unpermitted places unsuspecting are sometimes very surprised to find animals held in cages without a permit. Those who own them without permits can get fines or jail time. We don't normally have the tigers running loose. There are so many cars here that an animal would have a hard time traveling around.
