When and how do you read news??

China
May 27, 2008 2:50am CST
I read newspapers every evening, strictly speaking, it's not news any more, they are all about things happened yesterday. Sometimes in the evening or at night i'll watch TV, and i also subscribed news in my cell phone, so i can check short brief news in the morning and in the afternoon seperately. I always have a feeling that i'm late to get news. So how about you guys? Please share **Enjoy life~~**

Through his mom. We don't watch the news. If anything important is going on that we need to know about she'll tell us. I guess also we see it through here, because of people's discussions. International News at Walmart though.

Well actually I was thinking of my fiance's friend and how he's at work right now in another town... he's working at Wal * Mart.... It's really early in the morning and in a few hours he should stop by.

Well, that's the latest the papers can get to you. Sometimes, if something BIG happens at say 2 or 3am, they might still be included in the morning papers. It will really depend on how important the news is. I am ok with delayed news - to me, the morning papers are still quite fresh. Throughout the day, I normally get to see fresh new headlines too so I see them before they come out in the papers the next day.

Hey, i come your way, lordwarwizard, what's happening in the early morning, big one, will be included in the morning paper. But i always read paper in the evening, so always there's a delay. I'm not mad at delay either, but not always, sometimes i'd be upset if i don't know the latest what others are talking happily about. All in all, i get news a day after, that's the general rule for me. Thanks for sharing **Enjoy life~~**

I used to mostly watch the news on TV and once in a while, I would read the newspaper. But, lately, I've been subscribing to getting news in my E-mail at prescribed times. Also, very recently, I started using Twitter and some of my local and national stations list news updates almost when they happen. I am considering unsubscribing to the e-mail news because Twitter carries the same news headlines. I also can get news from other places like Cal-Fire who gives me fire updates and stories.

Twitter is a micro-blog site that's really easy to use. Here's the link: http://www.twitter.com I use it in conjunction with Twhirl, which is a Twitter Client. Twhirl is great because it sends me pop-up notifications whenever there's an update of whoever I am following. You can follow people, websites, radio shows, news, and information, but you have to find all these things when you sign up. It's also great in keeping touch with family, too. You can also protect your updates so the general public can't read what you write.

When Im on the bus to work, I might be lucky to grab a free paper which I read on the bus and on my lunch break!! We also sell a newspaper where I work so I'll glance at that. When Im on the internet I will sometimes read the news on there or on mylot as people do post some stories on here (I know I do sometimes.) Other than that I dont really watch the news or read papers!!

Hey,there, friend. I have to know the updated happenings to strike a conversation with others sometimes. And also, in the society, i have to take care of what's happening around me as now i'm a social person, not a student focusing only on books. That's the difference maybe. Maybe not. **Enjoy life~~**

Generally speaking ,I read news mostly through internet. It is well known that internet is developing very fast.Due to its richfulness and fast reporting speed ,it has become my main source of reading news. For example ,in the event of no TV signal,I can know the news through internet without fear .However, newspaper is also a source of reading news .Compared with up-to-dated internet, newspaper is traditional, but I can read many authors'different view to the event.

Hey, beyond! Yeah, due to the development of Internet, the news travels faster and more timely than before. On May-12 earthquake, the telephone signal's disrupted, no radio, no TV, the informatin was sent by Internet. Thanks to it, time's very important in that critical moment. Newspaper is traditional, but i don't think it will be replaced in a short time. Thanks for sharing **Enjoy life~~**

hi lynette. i find time to read the newspaper as well. i also watch news programs and surf the internet for news updates. with the availability of credible news sources, i think it'll be a mortal sin if you don't keep yourself informed with what's been happening around the world.

Well ,I get the news from radio or internet .And most from the radio .As i'm in college there is always little time for me to read newspaper or watch tv .Because we have no tv there in our dormitory ,besides we have many classes and work to do in all day .So we listen to our own radio for the news in the night before wo go to bed ...

Hi, seagullkang, when i was in college, i listened to the radio too, generally, twice a day. One in the morning, when i woke up, turned the radio on, listening while washing face and gargling. And the other at night just like you guys do, gentle words of the radion anchor make me the mood to sleep. Miss that. Thanks for sharing **Enjoy life~~**

Yeah, it's time and money effective to browse news on the net. After dinner, watch tv for a short while.. But as i've subscribed the newspaper for all the whole year, i'm kind of getting used to reading them. Thanks for sharing. **Enjoy life~~**
