One person can make a difference in the world. If you only make a difference in one person's life, that is enough. Because that person will make a difference to someone else and so on. You don't have to be rich or famous to make a difference. If that is what it took, it would be a very poor world indeed.

Yes of course, but not alone. We are just an ant farm, when we are alone we can make it for ourselves but when we have friends joining us we can make a difference in a community.

YEs, one person can make a difference in the world! Through the butterfly effect..that really is a perfect way of stating it. I also like the part in the movie "Evan Almighty" where they talk about an Act of Random Kindness...which of course spells out ARK and is obviously very important and makes a huge impact even though it seems sill at the beginning.

Absolutely. By doing little things it can in fact help out the world in many ways. By reacting, it creates a chain of events. Well, only if other people want to acknowledge it. In my opinion, their isn't anything too small to not create a positive effect. It may take millions to rebuild a nation, but it only takes one to get people to think.

Hi, Certainly Yes. There are numbers of numbers example in this world. For example in India The Great Mahatma Gandhi under whose leadership India got its independence. His basic principle is non-violence and peace. He defeated the Briteshers by his cool & calm attitude and follow the non-violence principle.Presently under the leadership of Dalai Lama Tibet doing very well. So any revolutionary change can be made in this world by a Great man only.

It seems like people have done.....both for good and for bad. Ghandi, Hitler, Mother Theresa, Osama Bin-Laden, Jesus, Chairman Mao, John Lennon, Oppenheimer, Nelson Mandela, Sigmund Freud, Martin Luther King.....to name just a few. Lots of people have changed the world too with books, art and music, over the passage of time. Architects, fashion designers, town planners....all sorts.....they all gradually change the way we perceive the world and our psychology over a period of time changes with it. Interesting subject - thanks for raising it.

There have been many good examples of this being true - some shown in the answers so far. I think that we all need to believe this and practice making a positive difference for anyone we interact with. Even a small act of kindness (kind of like a pay-it-forward approach) without expectation of some sort of return will leave us with the knowledge that the world was made a better place because of it, even if it had only a tiny effect. It can be contagious and this is exactly what the world needs now.
