How do you catch a Chipmunk?

We have a delightful cat (It's her in my avatar) whose has a delightful habit of bringing home "presents"! Her latest prize is a live chipmunk its in our kitchen somewhere in the cupboards! I can occasionally hear it chirp we now have to work out how to catch it (preferably alive) before it drives me crazy! Any suggestions .........

First thing you do is get the cat out of the house or penned up into another room. Then I would suggest you call your humane society or animal control and let them take it from there. You have no chance of catching a live chipmunk.

I have actually seen my husband catch and release one before when one of the cats brought one in. I Have to admit it was one of the most hilarious chases round the living room I have ever seen.
