This was just on CNN and caught my attention. The oldest driver in America is 101 years old and started driving when she was only 8 years old. She lives in Tallahassee Florida. She has been driving for a long time, and just renewed her drivers license for another 4 years. I started driving when I was 14, and have been driving for just over 20 years. I thought that was a long time. Wow! So how old were you when you got your license? Or if you rather, how long have you been driving?

wow thats a long time, and alot of changes in the automobile. I wonder if I will be able to drive that long. Its cool that she still is capable of driving at that age. Ive been driving for only 15 years.

It is kind of neat that she has been able to drive that long. I hope I still am doing that well when I get to be her age!

oddly enough, i never got my license and i am ok with that, though sometimes it is a pain for sure...now i cannot drive due to my knees anyways. as for older drivers, i know here in ontario (canada) after the age of 80, they have to do a written test every other year, but they should be made to do a driving test too...many seniors are very dangerous drivers! (due to slower reaction times, vision issues, etc)

I agree with you. They should have to take a driving test as well. I know the last time my mother in law renewed hers they made her retake the driving test due to her age. She was 88 at the time.
