It went really good! He didn't need any shots after all and won't until he's between 4 and 6, except for one that there's a shortage of that he'll have to get at some undetermined point later on. It's the last Hib and it's supposed to be done at 12-15 months but they aren't giving them to otherwise healthy babies until the supply is back to normal. So here are his 18 month stats: weight- 24 pounds 8 ounces, 30% percentile height-33 1/4 inches, 75% percentile He's on track developmentally and even ahead in a few areas, (which would be expected with all the older siblings to copy). She did agree that he has allergies to outdoor things but we're not going to put him on medication of do any testing at this point. He's still little and just gets a runny nose when he's outside so it's not really a big deal. She did also hear his heart murmur again and it's still probably the kind that actually is something but our other son has the same thing so, again, no big deal, we'll continue to monitor him and maybe see a pediatric cardiologist if/when he starts showing symptoms.

Your 18 month old son and my 16 month old daughter are almost the exact same size. She is 23 pounds and 33 inches. My daughter has seasonal allergies, but they give her a nice stuff nose and it could cause an ear infection if she did not take anything, so she takes Zyrtek. Hopefully his heart murmur turns out to be nothing.

Oh wow, that's so neat! Mine's a little guy but he looks just like his daddy so we expected that! He just has lots of clear mucus running out of his nose so she said to just watch it for now and hopefully it won't cause any problem. His heart murmur sounds just like our other son's, it could get to be an issue but he doesn't have any symptoms like his brother has so it's very mild.

My daughter had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic prescription that the doctor gave her for her first and only ear infection. He said the ear infection was caused by her nasal troubles from her allergies, so he gave her something to help with the allergies and to help prevent another ear infection.

I am glad nothing new really came up. I hope that everything stays well. Keep monitoring him and worry later.

Congratulations, It is so nice to know that your child is healthy isn't it? Heaven knows parents have enough to worry over without anything extra thrown in! Just keep an eye on his little heart and love ,love, love him!
