Hey purple,
Man, I don't like fruit on my cheesecake either...i really don't know what it is but i prefer mine plain or with some chocolate on top. I do have to admit though, having a bit of the runny part of the fruit sauce ain't that bad but I don't like the chunks of fruit with it.

Hi there roxanne,
I can empathize. Simple fruit sauce/ syrup is fine. But scratch the fruit. I feel as though my cheesecake experience is interrupted. Then I'm not a happy bunny.

Nope U R not alone. lol. If it's just a drizzle of fruit sauce/syrup, then no problem. Once chunks of fruit R involved, then we have a problem. And I lve eating fruit. But it kills the taste of cheesecake 4 me.

I don't really like fruit on top of my sweet desserts. I like fruit by themselves or, sometimes, baked into a pie. But, I don't like fruit piled up on anything and that includes shortcake, angel food cake, and pancakes. I eat fruit all the time, by itself.

oh my I love a good cheesecake with a raspberry or
strawberry topping. its so delicous but they have
to be ripe fresh fruit not some yucky sweet jam or
jelly but real fruit.Perhaps you have been the victim
of someone putting fruit jam on top of cheesecake and
that combo is truly sickeningly sweet.

I don't like fruit on mine . I dont mind a mixing though it . Like chocolate or what ever .
Just no fruit for me.

I like the fuit, but my mom doesn't. She hates all fruit that's mixed with things. She likes it otherwise. I'll eat just about anything.

I am totally the same way! Especially with the fruit on top! The only time I like a "fruity" cheesecake is if it is key lime cheesecake! So no, you are not alone. :O)
