My little cousin loved the summer scent pink lemonade they had a few years back at bath and body works. So, for her birthday I thought what a perfect idea it would be to buy it for her . The only thing was it was impossible to find. I thought, heck ebay has everything so why not give it a try. Well, I found what I was looking for and everyone was selling for double the price . I did not care I got into a bidding war with someone, and ending up paying nearly $40.00 for something that was not even half that price .When the product finally came in the mail ( 2 weeks later ) It just did not look right . The perfume seemed a light shade or pink, and you could see like a film in there ( almost like many floaters) I opened the lid and it did smell like pink Lemonade just litle bit weaker . So, what I thought is maybe the seller just added in some water . I sprayed and it was a lighter mist, which meant water . Then I noticed my arm was sticky . I kid you not the put actual pink Lemonade in there . Now to me that is just crazy . So, I talked to a few other people that have bought from her, and they told me the body splashes they bought were watered down as well . There was nothing anyone could do because this is something you can't prove . After a month of her selling she finally got kicked off . I just don't get the nerve of some people . I mean what the hell . With ebay it seems there is always the good sellers mix in with the bad . Does anyone have any stories they would like to share?

Well not exactly the same but I did buy something earlier in the month. It was a buy it now and I read the shipping carefully because I hate when people don't ship but once a week (usually they state when they will ship). They stated the days of the week they shipped. So according to the listing they lived in the same state. I figured that my item would go out on the next shipping date so a week later I emailed the seller to ask for the date that my item was shipped. They responded with this "your item will be there soon". That's all they said. I thought, what an idiot I asked for a date not a guess as to when my item will be here. So 9 days later still no item and I contacted seller again, because the seller was a 4 hour drive away. I told them in the email that if my item didn't come on the tenth day and they didn't respond to my email I was filing a claim with paypal. The seller didn't respond and the tenth day came sill no item. I opened a dispute with paypal and paypal tried unsuccessfully to contact the seller. The seller never responded. Finally, after almost 20 days my item arrived. I never would have believed it if I didn't see with my own eyes but it took 10 days to arrive from the post mark on the envelop. The seller actually did send the item but had no interest in telling me the date that it was shipped nor did the seller care that I had not received my item. I left that seller feedback stating that because I think he was a bad seller. I sell on eBay a bit and I email the buyer as soon as the item is shipped to let them know, and to contact me if the item doesn't arrive in reasonable time. I also leave it on their feedback just in case they don't get the email. I also ship my item almost as soon as a few hours after the auction ends because this is the way that I would want to be treated if I was the buyer. I hope you have better luck the next time you buy. There are some really good sellers on eBay but there are also BAD sellers.

Thanks !! I have met some wonderful sellers out there. Just sometimes you get one like that. That is just a mystery why that seller you worked with acted like that. Since the item was sent out why not inform the buyer. It is not that hard ! When My fiance sells he always is in contact. Once the items is shipped out he will write them , and if there is a number to be given he will. I dont even know why the person you bought from would even wanna be a seller.

I don't know. I think it's all about customer service. I have many repeat buyers because of the service I give the people that buy from me.

What really stinks is that seller may open a new account under another name. Make sure to always check people's feedback before buying!

I didn't buy anything on ebay so far. I was looking at so many things but I was chicken to try. I like to touch things before I buy, so I like to go to regular store first. I may buy things online, but I prefer legitimate place.

wow! Good thing she was removed there! I always buy at ebay and my husband too! We don't have any bad experience yet and we will always consider the number of transactions that the sellers have plus their feedbacks. If all positive we will go for it, we don't want to take the risk since we work hard for the money that we earn. Good thing you posted this for me to become more careful!

Usually, My fiance and me have good experience as well. She had about 25 postive from selling dvd's and about 3 for perfume .So, I figure it seems fine. Guess, she had a plan with the hard to find perfumes. Who knows really . every once in awhile you get a bad apple . I still do love ebay ;)

Oh! That is awful! I guess you can never be sure what you are buying that way, but some people are good. I guess you have to think about it this way... If we are going to buy something at a store, we are able to look at the area the store is located in, what kind of shape the building is in, and the kind of people who work there, and generally if our friends have shopped there etc. BUT on Ebay, the 'store owners' are the same kind of people you are standing next to in the grocery lines, at walmart, or generally could be any of the weirdos you see walking down the street when you are driving! Lol. I buy on ebay occasionally but I never have my heart set on getting what I want. In other words if I order a movie for my son, I tell him not to get his hopes up. It may come, it may not. It may work, or it may not. I also sell on ebay but even though I'm a nobody, I only sell things in the condition that I would like to buy it in. In other words, I look at my items and I ask myself: Would I buy this? And how much would I want to pay for it? It stinks when I buy something and get ripped off, but thankfully it only happened twice and all the rest of the good things outweigh the bad.

I have had my share of good and bad ebay . When I first started buying I wasn't as careful . You just slowly learn the ropes. I still sometimes will get ripped off. Clothing is one thing I try to stay away from on ebay . I need to try my clothes on and see how they fell and how they fit. Yeah , I usally wont get my hopes up too high either, sometimes ya just dont know. I can laugh about what I bought now. Only I could find the one seller who would do something like that . I bought $40.00 lemonade !!

I have not bough anything from Ebay and have never bought anything from online so far. That sounds like a bad experience... and I think the seller already made some money out of the month. That's o bad that some people sell this kind of things online and I am glad to know that the seller is kicked off now so other wont get those stuffs. Have to be more careful when buying something online next time ^^
