My Internet is running d@m to slow!

Well, sometimes the issue is with your ISP. You sure it is not a myLot issue? myLot can come to a standstill at times.

I hope that you get it figured out. I clean cookies every so often and I also defragment too. I also run my spyware also to zap them spies off of my computer. Have you tried running that yet.? I hope you can get it fixed soon and come back here with all of your friends at Mylot. I hate computer and connection problems.

It might depend on what time of day you are trying to use the internet. Some service providers do regular maintenance and this can slow our access down a little. For us, it seems to be around midnight that it all happens. Also, this is when a lot of sites do their backup etc.

Hi Marcia-wish I could help mine is new and is going slower than it should have cleared cookies etc but had the mal warrior virus since then it has been going slowwer than it did when it was first bought-last september-all I do is scan every day and refresh it too sometimes it helps-maybe there maybe someone on here that will be able to help you-your friend littleowl

Try a free spyware program. Having lots of spyware/adware on your computer can really mess with the speed of your internet connection. I use spybot search and destroy which you can get free. When mine is really slow I re-install my modem driver and this can sometimes help. Yeah.. mylot has been slow with me for few days, may be worth waiting a few , see if it improves.

I don't think its your internet, I think its mylot. Its slow for me today too. I have also heard from others that mylot slows down at the end of the month. If you have DSL or broad band sometimes you need to also reset the modem. If it does not have a reset button then unplug it for one minute and then plug it back in again. Also you might want to use a different browser like Firefox. Yesterday I could not get this site to come up in IE but it came right up using Firefox. Today it is the other way around.

I have been having the slow page loading thing for a few days not even when i make sure that i clean out the cookies. Dealing with dial up i have to just work with the connections that is something that I can't change.

Are you downloading anything? Or is there any others using your internet line? That can be the reason..
