You actually know what it's a box of chocolates. Usually in a box of chocolates there are.. CHOCOLATES!
Unlike that poor example, i agree with you on the life part. Life is full of surprises and you never know what our gonna get.

well, sorry for my inaccuracy.... but you can blame forrest gump for that one, cos its a quote from the film, where it was originally said by a mentally challanged man. he meant the fillings, which if the box is filled with identically sized and shaped chocolates, i doubt even you would know what you were going to get!!!! lol

Forest said those words because actually in a box of chocolates, you will never know what you get simply because a box of chocolates has a lot of chocolates that has different fillings and taste, and because you know it was a chocolate, you will be expecting that it would taste sweet and delicious. But in a box of chocolates there are some not so sweet and delicious chocolates.
Definitely life is a box of chocolates you will never know what you will get. You will always expect a sweet life, but life is not just about happiness or sweetness, there are struggles, sacrifices and sadness. Just like the box of a chocolate.
