Do you think before you speak or speak before you think and then regret?( sometimes I do,lol)The word we speak is so powerful that it can creat or it can destroy.so we all know that we must be careful while speaking. Each word gives an idea of whta we have in our minds. They reflect our thoughts. I would like to share a story of a woman whose habit was to gossip.one day the woman went to a holy man and requested him to tell some method to overcome her bad habit of gossiping. She asked the holy man,'can you show me the way to leave this bad habit of mine?' The holy man thought for a while. Then he went inside and brought a bag of cotton and gave it to her. He told her to take out cotton little by little and throw it it in the air.Taking the bag of cotton, she returned home and did according to the instructions of the holy man.Next day she again went to the holy man with the empty bag.The holy man said,'your task is not yet over. Please go back and collect those cotton balls in this bag and bring them back.' The woman said,'how is it possible to collect back those cotton balls?'The holy man laughed and the woman understood the purpose of that execrcise. Friends, do you know what the purpose was? I would like to know what the wise holy man told the woman. The answer is pretty simple, but its just to remind ourselves once again.

Some times, I think than do work. But some times First i work than think, what i have done. Human are not so perfect that they will do all the things right. Mistake is a common phenomena of human like. God is right and nobody is right or perfect.

ouch. there is no way the poor woman is able to take back those cotton balls, just like she is unable to take back those nasty words she said when gossiping... it's easy to say i hate you cause you are feeling the anger. but it's hard to say you're sorry once it happens. if only we can turn back time.

The holy man must have meant words once thrown our cant be collected back.. lol.. I mind my tongue to such a great extent that I end up regretting not having spoken at the right time. Later I always repent thinking I should have said this, I should have said that but the situation and the time would have long since passed. But there are times at which I really regret. Its mostly at home, when I scream at my parents and later feel very guilty. Outside I am very meek even to stand for my own rights. Hopefully I will change this soon

Most of the people do regret. One has to have control pver his or her toungue.I usually don't speak when i am angry. It avoids many bad things which i might have said .

avoiding harsh and bad speech also helps saving us and others from getting hurt.there is a shloka in Sanskrit which says-"Apriyam satyam na bruyaat"- which means one should avoid speeking harsh truth. It helps no-one,it only hurts.

hi worthy, generally, i do think before i speak. I am mindful of what my words could do to a person, i could be hurting or offending them with what i am saying. so i really try to be tactful. But there are times that you just got carried away by your emotions and blurt out what you think and feel. well, sometimes this is quite healthy cause you make people around you know about how heavy your feelings are for that matter. Then there's also the downside that it could hurt people especially if its someone close to you. By the way, it's a really nice story.
