Have you thought what to do after you retire from work? As for me i have not yet planned or thought anything. Would love to steal your ideas and plans for retirement, lol!! Guess everybody wants to take a break after working for 60 years.Thats what i plan to do too, rest, rest and rest and then rest in peace!! Really dont know what life would bring in the next 30 years. Dont even know what would happen in the next 24 hours though, but we all save toward our retirement to secure the future. Thats human nature. you could write in what you have planned ,or what you would like t do when you retire.

I'm essentially retired right now, after spending 19 years raising my children and am unemployed right now. I had thought I would travel a bit and might do so for short trips this summer and fall. I plan on doing some volunteer work, probably with children and/or at the library. Most of my plans involve very little money! I definitely intend to spend more time with my guitars and learn to play them a little better than I do now.

You are a strong woman, you'v raised your children all alone and dont worry you are retired only for a short duration, would get a job soon. So you can work ,save money and then go travelling. It a very nice plan to do volunteer, my mom does the same to. There is an orphanage in a close to our house, she goes there to teach them. She likes to keep herself busy. She has also joined a private hospital as an assistant to an eye surgeon. All the best with yur guitar and interviews.

Even i ahve heard real life stories of kids who are in foster homes and they have a miseralbe life at times. Foster parents love the idea of adopting the kid, but forget to think about the responsibilities that comes with it. We sholud thank God for whatever we have in life.

I'll do things that I never able to do. I guess probably is travel to as many countries as possible before I die. Other than traveling, I'll go back to study again to take some courses that interest me very much. I'll do some investment at that time too. I'll save those profit for my grandchildren or donate it to charity organization if i have no heir.

Thanks for your comment. My big problem now is I'm really weak in finance planning and savings! I guess that's most of the young working adults will face! Hope I can discipline myself more and save more! Have a nice day.

I hope to be able to travel (afford)! With the price of gasoline rising so quickly, I'm beginning to wonder now! We have a 5th Wheel and love getting away for long weekends whenever possible, but you can't go far if you want some time to relax! I would love to make a trip out west, and also up North. And of course a trip to the beach every now and then!

It's way too long from now because I'm on my 20's yet and I have no idea when or at what age will I be having my retirement days. But anyway, once I'm retired, I wishes my parents are still alive that time. I wanna travel with them. At least one country, if not around the world, hehehe.. That's one of my dreams when I was in college.

it is always better to save money toward retirement from an early age. Im not saying that you stop enjoying the things that you do now, but save a little bit for the rainy dayz! Hope your dream is fulfilled! have fun.

i'd like to live somewhere near the beach (of course, i should have my own beach resort by then and get my finances from that) and enjoy the rest of my life traveling with my husband every now and then. i would also like to remain active in the local school activities just to leave some values and knowledge for the kids.

An amazing idea to go back to mother nature. it would be a bit tough to adjust to it though,as we are more adapted to his lifestyle of living.

that won't be expensive as long as you'll live a simple life. you can plant veggies and get food in the sea. everything will be available from nature, we just have to live simple.

Hi There, I am now about 18 years away from retirement. Although that still sounds like a long time, I have begun to plan. I know lots of people who retire and then end up going back to work so they can get a pension and the new income. They make a lot of money like that. Personally, when i retire that is going to be it. I am not going to go to work anymore and just relax at my cottage. cheers,

That's a long shot from today. But thinking about retirement is inevitable. It pays off to really prepare for retirement early on. After retirement, I intend to travel and enjoy the things that I have worked truly hard for. I am the type of person who would like to retire at an early age. I mean, I don't see myself retiring at around 60 years old. I want to retire at an early age so I can enjoy to the fullest my retirement benefits.

Id 'like to travel and have my retirement check sent to my credit card that way I could be in any part of the world and still have access to my money. I'd like to make friends all over the world that way when I come back to those destinations I would not have to use a hotel. and I could take my friends out for fun instead of paying hotel fees.

I am 29 now and working. So it is a long time still to my retirement. And I haven't planned anything as in activities that I will indulge in after retirement. The only thing I have already started that is related to retirement is saving money.Part of the salary I get goes into some investments as a source of funds for the future inclusing retirement.Apart from that though I would like to travel, keep people happy and more importantly would like to remain Healthy till I die.

I think it is best to start investing from now onwards ,if you really want to save loads of money after you retire. like you mentioned that you invest money for the future it is a very right decision, it also saves taxes for you.
