Okay so my mower has been down for quite awhile now and I mean awhile. And I got one at a yard sale pretty cheap only needing a little work on it. The problem is my yard is a jungle out there. It's bad people. My dogs are evn afraid to loll around in the grass and we live in the country so I am very certain I have some snakes and no telling what else is out there mulling around.
So Just now I finished mowing a small section near the house and I will finish it off before the sun sets, that is my goal for today. And I am determined. So pray I don't come across any added creatures in my yard LOL. Maybe I will be able to find my dogs when I am done.
Have you ever had to fight with lawn-mowing before? I need some encouragement here PLEASE!!!!

I can't help but smile as I try to picture your situation in my mind. We're in an almost same predicament. Because of an important family situation, I wasn't able to tend to my garden. The result was having a mini-jungle of my own. Fortunately, we didn't have another snake tresspasser. I almost freaked out when I saw one in our bedroom. I don't know how it got there but it's a good thing it was only a baby snake.
I've been mowing my lawn for three days now. But not that it took me a day to do it. I can only afford an hour of mowing because of other chores. So, today, there's still a small portion left to do.
My encouraging words to you, is if I did it, then you can, too.
Just enjoy your mowing, as I did, and before you know it, your jungle will be gone for good.

I have found out a lot of people have been dealing with this sort of thing lately. But I had to take off a few days due to my work hours. And today is a beautiful summer day and I knocked off quite a bit in one section this morning....so I am hoping by Monday I will have it almost done. LOL
ANd it is nice to see my yard again....oh and oddly I have not come across one snake yet....who knows maybe they hear the mower and haul a@@.

You can do it! I hope you made it through the jungle today! I did the same thing. My neighbor is overseas, and his yard was a jungle. I had to use a weedeater to knock it down then mow it!

Yeah I think that is what I will do for my back yard. I spent 7 hours outside and di not realize it....it's getting back to normal and my dogs are happy finally...
Good for you to help your neighbor....
