If your house was on fire, what would you save?

There was a huge fire in our community last night. Big house, big garage, 3 vehicles and goodness knows what was inside all of that. Reports suggest that the family got out alive, but was not able to save anything. If your house was on fire, what (other than a loved one) would you grab on the way out if you could?

Of course, I'd grab my kid and spouse and head outside. In most fires there is no time to grab anything valuable. If I had one thing next to me, then I'd probably grab my bible and my cash box. Yes, I do have one of those. I guess it's not safe to have them at home, but I don't always get around to depositing my checks for at least a month. I should be better about that. My paycheck would be safer in the bank and not in my home. Of course, I would leave the doors open so that my cats could get out, but if it were very smoky, I would think they would be hard to find and would not risk my life to get them. They are smart and would most likely run out the door to get away from the fire.

My pets! They're really the only thing in the house that's truly irreplaceable. All of my pictures are online and I don't really have anything that has a lot of sentimental value. I'd be sad to lose a lot of stuff, but I'd be fine, as long as my 'babies' and family were okay. Stuff is only stuff, to me.

Save life first, include family member and my pets, secondly, take my wallet and handphone, not for money, it's because of ID card. HandPhone can use to call help.
