Outdoorsman? I say Murderer.....

I have noticed how hunters lately like to call themselves outdoorsmen. I guess it makes them feel like big men(and women) to hunt an innocent unarmed animal. I am wondering if they are ashamed of themselves, and they should be, and that is why they say "outdoorsman" instead of murderer or hunter. I say no matter what they call themselves they are ruthless cold blooded killers.

You must be a total vegetarian! Good for you! I actually think eating raised meat is worse than hunting, due to the conditions those raised animals live in! (Unbelievable, actually!) Here in farm country, if hunters didn't hunt deer though, the deer, which multiply like mice and rabbits would eat most of the crops eventually, and many of the deer would starve. The DNR (dept or natural resources) does a lot of studying on it, and tries to control those things (taking into account any wolf population also).. I wish most people's meals wouldn't revolve around meat, so that the hunting was enough and we wouldn't see animals (which never get to run free) raised for meat (shudder)..

I just could never look into the eyes of a living creature and snuff out their life. I think it takes a certain type of person that can kill. I am not one of those types.

I couldn't either! 'Less my kids were starving! And I didn't know the local edible flora.. I'm also concerned about other inhumane things humans do!

Humans can be pretty inhumane can't they. I have been reading a lot of horror stories of what is happening in Africa these days and it just amazes me that men can be as heartless towards women as they are.
