I am really amazed by this guy.
He sent me friend request, I guess about two weeks after I joined here. He had just joined that time so he tried to get more friends, and do more post.
After a month, I was amazed to see his profile again. He already posted 501 while I have only 386 now. He also got more friends than what I've got. He already started more than 500 discussions.
One thing that is amazing for me is that, most of his discussions are so simple. From "what is your...", "do you...", "are you..." that discussed in just a line or two. But, he can catch more responses.
I have very few discussions that I started. Sometimes, I am disappointed to do more because of getting zero responses. But this friend of my, he can catch more respondents. I don't know what power he has. lol

I think overall, you will never know what works for some people, and then does not work for someone else on here. I have been a member here myself for over a yr. and a half, and I have quite a few discussions here with little responses back as well. I guess it could be timing, etc. All I can say is do what you can when you can, and hope for the the best from there.

Well all you have to do if you are away from the computer is write down what you are thinking about. I keep a yellow legal pad next to me at all times and if something comes to mind, I write it down. Then next time I am on, if I have limited time, I open alot of windows and type away. It is about all you can do.

You may be right, timing could be one more thing. That is one thing that I lose. When I wanted to post a new one, I have the idea in mind, but the computer is not available. And sometimes, the internet connection is down. That's I mostly sort on responding than starting a new discussion...

I think it is a power of making money online. He did anything to make it. That's only my guess.
You can catch the people responses by making a good title and good discussion. But before you can catch them, try to get more friendly friends. How come? By answer their discussions and add them as friends. If you give many quality responses and starting quality discussions, they will always come back to your discussions.

I know lots of people do that, maybe it's because they look at online earning as their mode of business. For some reasons, only they themselves knows it.
There are also members who does that by not messing up with the QUALITY of their posting, so you don't have to get envy of any member here. It's not about the number of posting or the number of friend we have here, it's about the way we post and contribute here..

Yes, I know that quality of the post means more than the quantity. One more thing about this guy, he is young than me so I guess he has lots of time to go online. I think he is a student or a newly graduate, it's still vacation time here so students have still time to do some other things...

hi dont let it get you. so many of those simple discussions
get a lot of responses but after awhile people get tired'
and want something more meaty. just work on making quality
'responses and making friends and getting noticed by
'making lots of responses too. once your friends see you
are responding to thier discussions you will ge a lot
'more responses yourself. dont give up on mylot.

That was pretty amazing. I think to be able to do that is to be devoted in mylot. My friends comes from the discussions that I responded too and those who responded on mine. I observed that simple discussions have many responses here. So maybe next time that I make my post I should do it as simple as it can be but very descriptive.
P.S. I waited for your new post. This is my 500th.

Wow, you already made your 500th post. And what a coincidence my friend, it's in my discussion...
I was really amazed by that guy how he spent his first month here in mylot and made such a great performance. He even surpassed your post, dear...
I will try to change my topics the next time I will start a new one. But to tell you friend, I really had hard times to start new discussion, which I know is too simple. You know what kind of world my life rolls, very complicated.

Neildc it is not the power that he has. It is that some of the MYLOT family loves simple discussions. I have been here about the same time as you and I am having diffculties to recieve 18 responses or more. But all my friends comes from response that I make. Well I guess for this month is just to find some simple discussions so that we can reach 1000 post.

Yes, I also noticed that discussions with most responses are those simple topics. I guess I really have to change the way I start new discussions, to catch more responses... Good luck...

woww... that is really amazing... sounds like he is really working hard to earn money here... and some people are just gifted in writing and earning money online... he might have more time to spend here... that's why he is posting more than you... if you are more active here, i think you can be like him as well... take care and have a nice day...

I can say that I am so active here. I used to make posts, more responses than starting a new discussions. It's just that I have no plenty of time like he has, I guess. And one more thing, my connection here has been so bad this past few days...

Your myLot friend does sound like a very busy person. I cannot even imagine starting 500 discussions, even in a whole year! Perhaps he does not have another job, so he has more time to spend surfing the internet.
Anyway, I know what you mean about starting discussions and getting 0 responses. Frustrating. Perhaps you could follow his lead and take some tips from observing how he conducts himself on myLot.

Don't get disappointed by zero responses, I've had some but then give it a couple of weeks and someone might reply, thats whats so nice about this site. I seem to get more responses when I start them at night time possible because of the time difference of the world.
If you ever find out your friends secret powers be sure to let me know LOL!

I am also having a hard time thinking of discussions to post, and like you, sometimes I am not inspired to post since I also have zero reply and some only have 2 or 3. I think in my 2 months time I only posted about 20 or less discussions.
Ask your friend whats his secret so we could apply also, hehe

So, let us make a simple discussions also neil, like, what is the color of your hair..lol.. or how was your day..;)

lol, i hope he has no power like that. But I am afraid of some discussions which maybe deleted. I think that guy still don't know the guidelines because some of his discussions are already in placed, I mean those might be a repetition or something... I don't think he searched for the topic first, before he post his...

I have heard of people not getting thier first payout until they were well into the 700th post if not more. Quanlity definately pays. I averaged only 13 a day and made payout last month. Just thought I would give you a little food for thought!!

He knows what he is doing and he has a goal in this site. He wants to make more money and thats what he's doing. Though other respondents are right that the "quality" is being at stake here. But most of the myLotters here really love simple topics. Indeed, its not how long the topic/title is...its how simple it is. The idea is he can relate to the daily living and feelings of most people in myLot. Take care

sometimes its not how long your topic is. what matter is the sense. if your discussion doesn't have any thought or sense at all. how long it may be, it will be regardless. maybe his topic catches everyones attention. choose the right subject and make it a good topic. surely it will catch many responses too. i don't really know if this makes sense too. lol

i have 2 friends on my list that similar to what you have mention, i admire them because they post many topics everyday, seem they are not running out of topics to be discuss. i don't know how they do that, i found out that all of their post got response. how i wish i can be like them.

Oh thats really amazing thing.I also have noticed some mylotter who has joined after me and has more points and discussions.
I guess that person has more time and more enthusiasm to participate in discussion and make some extra cash as well.
and if he/she is catchig attention of more people and getting more response then i think it is his/her natural talent and experience becuase it is not so simple to get huge response with senseless topic.I feel he/she is doing great.

Ah Ah Ah , Don't worry ;) I am sure he hasn't made much money though. It usually is all in the quality you put in to your post.I have known people who have only posted around 400 and have made close to $13.00 in 3 weeks. Just keep doing what you are doing !
