I just took a fun quiz on "are you too trusting" and I got an interesting score which seemed to be true - a healthy balance between trust and skepticism. While I believe that most people are good and well intentioned, I am cautious with what I do, say, or act around new faces. I am not likely to trust a person just because s/he is known to me unless they have proven themselves that they are worthy of my trust? Are you too trusting?

I used to be too trusting but I have learned from life experience that there are many people not to be trusted. I still think good about people unless I know they have done something bad. I have become more cautious about things I read, see or hear, especially on the internet where nothing can be accepted as true without checking the facts first. I know now that even the nicest people who I love cannot always be trusted, because they can be forgetful or have other things on their mind, which makes them break a promise they had made to me.

I used to be trusting too but just like you I've learned that there are people that should not be trusted so I became cautious. And I agree with you about the people and things you meet, see and read through the internet, they are not always true.

I will admit that I am a very paranoid person. I do not think about it at the time that I have those thoughts, but looking back on it, I can see that I am. I do not trust people because I do not know their intentions. He may read this one day, and he may not, but my best friend has completely ruined me as far as trust goes. And yet, I still trust him. After breaking every promise he had ever made me, he reminded me that promises are just words. As far as everyone else goes, no. My trust level rises much slower than most, and it shatters easily. I keep myself away from people because I fear how people are. If I were to classify myself, I am unhealthily untrusting.

no, not at all haha. im doubtful by nature. i have to be comfortable with a person and have known him/her for a reasonable amount of time before i trust him/her.

Hi ashryl, I do trust people but not that much. I see to it that I gave them the trust they deserve, I don't use to judge people but I don't give special treatments. he he he just kidding. frankly, I've entrusted a lot of people all through my life but I was took for granted. And now, I learned a lot from it. Just be aware of sharing your thoughts to others like your secrets because people just tend to be kind when they need something from you.
