There has got to be a better way! I got contacts yesterday and I can't believe how hard they are to put on and take off. Does anyone have any secrets on how to take them off and put them on?

There really is not trick to getting them in. You just need to practice. Wash you hands really good and rinse them with clean solution before trying to put them in your eye. Remember to check to make sure they are right side out. I have been wearing contact for 16 years and once you get the hang of them you will love them. Good luck!

Practice definitely helps. But once your eyes get red and watery you're better off just taking a break because that only makes it harder to get them in and they'll be uncomfortable even if you do get them in right.

Thank you so much. I washed my hands really good this morning before I got started. I just had so much trouble getting them in. My eyes were tearing so much that it was hard to hold them open.

Everyone's eyes are different so you'll have to just keep experimenting to find what works best for you. I prefer mine to be really wet when I put mine in. The one trick I know is to hold your eye open and just look around to get rid of the air bubble...if you blink too soon it will just wrinkle the contact and you'll have to start all over. To get it out...eh...I just reach in with my thumb and forefinger and pull it out...slide your fingers across your eye (it won't hurt if you're touching the contact), and it should fold up between your fingers and come right out.

I will try putting them in wetter tomorrow. I guess the fingernails have got to go. That was what got in the way last night. They are not really long either!

I don't have long ones either but before you cut yours try putting the lens further down on your finger tip and then going in with your finger totally parallel to your eye...it might work.

Yes! If you mean contact lenses, I am very good at this. First, let me say that it takes a little time to learn how to do it easily, but it is worth the trouble at first as soon you will just whiz them in and out. I does depend a bit on what kind of lenses they are though as there are different types. There are quite a few uTube videos online, but here are two regular lings that might help: http://www.alcon.com/au/eo/clc/B3_InsertRemove.jhtml http://www.all-about-contact-lenses.com/article-1-How-do-I-insert-contact-lenses.html The most important thing after having very clean hands, is not NOT tense up. Just keep practicing and you will have it down in no time.
