Well, im not really one of the nerds enjoying the mystery of the rubik's cube but I want to learn to solve it so I bought one for myself since almost all in our department enjoy solving it using the algorthm found in the internet. Actually the IT people started it and now it seemes to be like a virus that has spread to our department. I never tried solving a rubik's cube before even when I was young I never imagine myself be able to solve one. I bought one and patiently try to understand the algorithm and maybe someday, someday be able to solve it. How about you mylotters have you solved a rubik's cube before? Theres also another rubik's cube and its in circular form, maybe more difficult than the square one. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

One of the addictions I have avoided. However I did try when the original cube was introduced to the world all those years ago. As for solving it then, well no I didn't. Now, after watching it done on TV in seconds, and one handed in under a minute, I think I could solve it. But, I'm not racing out to buy one, as that in my opinion would be a waste of time and money.

Well, you'll surely get your monies worth. $1.50 for hours and hours of fun ... or should that be frustration. Good luck with your new toy.

Well, it would take loads of my patience to solve this one, the algo requires front inverse, lef and right and so on and s forth, I think im going to have hard time solving this but im just taking it one step at a time. Im not in a hurry anyways. have a nice day and take care.

I was never good at things like that, I admire people who stick with something like that until they get it out, I could never even make a paper plane, just useless when it came to things like that.

Hehehehe, I forgot even how to make the paper boat. I used to make it when I was young but now I forgot how to make it. We can try the rubik's maybe we can solve it.

I have tried to solve it, long ago. I never was able to. I am not persistent enough to solve it. I guess it makes people's brain more active. I guess I did not realize there was an algorithm for it.

I have not played with a rubiks cube for years. I remember trying to solve one when I was a child though. I could get a few sides of it solved all at one time but never the whole thing. I had some friends who could do it though. I got to the point of wanting to take the stickers off and putting them where they need to be LOL. I have never seen the round ones.

I remember when i was young... there was a rubik's cube mania... and i was one of those who tired it... but was only a little successful... now that the mania is here again... well... i did not get caught with it... since i am now a sudoku addict... i prefer doing sudoku games in my cellphone... i just downloaded one last month... and i cannot get enough of it... maybe one of these days i will try rubik's cube... just for a change...

No.. I will mess around with one if it's sitting there or handy.. but otherwise I never do and I wouldn't be very determined at it.. If I had the secret formula however.. maybe I might want to try it, if it didn't seem too complicated and time consuming..

I think I'm the greatest loser when it comes to solving rubik's cube. So far I can only arrange one side and that's it. They said you've got to be a mathematician to be able to arrange it. And I think it explains a lot. I'm also the most dumb person when it comes to math. It's just that my right brain is functioning too much to the detriment of the left. Well, it's still one of my greatest challenge though.

I used to be mad on these things when they first came out, I even had a tiny one on a necklace that you could actually work. I solved one once, but I remember when my grandad let me have a go of his, I could not do it and so cheated and peeled the stickers off and replaced them in the correct order. It is the first and only time I ever knew my grandad to shout at me. I was gutted I was so upset that I had upset him, one memory that will always stay with me. Cheats never prosper was then a saying that always stayed with me as that is what he said to me!

I am only able to do one side at a time. I often play with my son's rubik's cube. He will tell me which color to get and I'll do it, then he will look at me with fastination in his eyes and ask, "How did you do that mommy?" I have tried more than one side before but end up getting frustrated and just putting it down. I've never tried any other shapes for the cube.. just square.

Well I for one am one of those nerds enjoying the mystery of the Rubik's Cube. I learned how to solve it at 11 years old, and once I memorized the algorithm. I entered a few contests, and it was very fun competing against other, as you call "nerds." I really enjoy solving it, and I can now solve it in under 3 minutes. I think anyone can really solve it if they just try! About the circular one, it is actually easier than the square. It may look difficult, but it is just bigger pieces. The square is 3x3x3 and the circle one is 2x2x2!
