When reading. do you choose one author or just read whatever?

When choosing a book to read, do you usually just choose one author and rewad their books. or do you just choose a book here and there from diffrent ones. just somthing you seem intrested in?.
I myself. i havent really read to many authors books in my life. I have read Dave Pelzers, The lost boy and A Child Called It,also A Man Named Dave... but other then that they have always been by vc.andrews. infact i collect her books, ive been reading on from the authour who is writing under her name. they are still veary good..

I love 'Danielle Steels' work,, I get to the point where I think to myself 'just one more chapter' but when I finish reading that chapter there is so much suspense at the end of it that I just have to go and read another chapter and before I know it I'm half way through the book, my curiosity gets the better of me.
I also enjoy reading novels by 'Stephan King'

LMAO i am sooo the same way! i had a book i just bought recently vc.andrews of course. and like i was trying to read a few chapters here and a few there because i know i can afford any new books right now... yea so didnt work! i hid it under the couch so i wouldnt look at it. and see it calling my name.lol
well next time i guess i need a better spot.lol
You know i have read one r 2 books from danielle steel when i was younger BUT i dont remember a single one of them,
im not sure i would get inot hers anymore. what type is it? romance kinda like right?. yea defiantly not me..
vc andrews is a gothic fiction. really good book. and steven king only seen the movies:P... thanks for responding!

lol yeah even late at night when I could barely keep my eyes open I'd still be forcing them to read the lines I too have placed my book elsewhere but the story line keeps rushing through your mind and it seems the only way to get it off your mind is to just keep on reading lol an Yea alot of her novels are based on the romance side but she also has a few on other topics like 'Accident' that was a really good one! that vc andrews one seems it could be interesting!!

I have a Daniel Steels book called Sisters but I haven't read it yet. I love Sidney Sheldon and it is with his books where I feel the suspense hanging on every chapter. It's like the next page promises to be even better and it goes all the way through the end! I super love his books!

i just read whatever...
i dont know that many 'good' authors... so.. i would just read the 'sypnosis' or reviews/critics.. and decide if i want to go ahead and read the book or not... but then again.. it has been quite some time since i last read a book...
i actually borrowed a book from someone almost six months ago.. and i still cant seem to find the time to finish reading it...

I usually read Christian books more than anything and in that case the author is really not as important as the contents in the book. However, I like to read a good mystery once i a while just as well and when that happens the author is DEFINITELY important to me because you know if he/she wrote a good book it is most likely that ALL their books are good or at least 80% of them.

If you like that book do you usually look for more books by that author, or just kinda look for another one that you find intresting?..

I just read whatever but if I like a particular author, I make it a point to read all his or her books! I like reading new novels from new authors. It's like discovering new talents!
