Ok, I came across a topic that was asking if you can share a spoon or utensils with partner........this tickled my question.........In our house, we only have one toothbrush and we use it both. We also share a toothpick if there isnt any. Tell me, do you share with your partner or you find it gloss?

I always keep a toothbrush in my handback, so I can use during work and on holidays. Sometimes I will forget to pack toothbrushes when going on holidays, and my husband will use mine and viceversa!

I always share a spoon and other tableware with my husband but we have never thought of sharing a single toothbrush or a toothpick. My husband always brings along a tiny pack of toothpick in his small waist pack. So we never come across the problem of lacking any toothpick even though we have our meal outside. What’s more the restaurants and food courts here do always supply us toothpicks on every table.

Its good to hear that you hubby always brings toothpicks when you are out for picnic. There was one time that we had one toothpick, I used one end of the toothpick and he used the other end. Thats what I mean sharing. Here in our place when you buy take away food they dont pack toothpicks at all. Thanks for your response.

My husband and I have our own toothbrush ans we use our own toothpicks also. I would have no problem sharing with him if we only had one to use though. He is clean just like I am so I know he would not leave it nasty for me to use. I couldn't share with someone who had nasty teeth though.

Hey Steph, Thanks for your response. I would also do the same as you. A person with nasty teeth? heheheee thats funny. What if he is your husband and has nasty teeth would you kiss or be intimate with him?

wow. you share one toothbrush and a toothpick?? isn't that unhygienic? i don't have a partner yet but if i do, i wouldn't think of sharing a toothbrush with him nor a toothpick because i just find the thought unhygienic. i mean, sure, we kiss and all, but sharing a toothbrush? its totally different from kissing. kissing is different from cleaning teeth right? i just can't imagine myself using another person's toothbrush.

I would never share a toothbrush. Toothbrushes are designed to remove all the plaque and bacteria from someones teeth. While I don't mind kissing my husband I am not removing his plaque and putting it on my teeth. That is gross. I don't want the stuff that gets in between my husbands teeth in my mouth. You can buy a toothbrush for a dollar there is no reason to share.

Sharing toothbrush does not imply that we cannot afford one each. There are even free toothbrushes when you purchase toothpaste. Also I have never seen plaque on our brush or the stuff between the teeth. After using a brush one cleans it well and dips it in a disinfectant that we have in the house for cleaning kitchen utensils. I have never felt yuckish/gross when sharing and its been a year now since we started sharing and none of us has plaque. Thanks for your response. Hope you did not puke after the thought of sharing

I would use my guys toothbrush, now a toothpick is different. I guess the fact that its cleaning out the gross food that is stuck in someones teeth.. eww.. But if I do use the toothbrush I rinse it in really hot water before and after use. This only happened when I forgot mine at home when we lived in seperate houses.

Oh boy, I answered a little differently with the utensil question, but I think I would have to draw the line at a toothbrush. That strikes me as unhealthy to share a toothbrush. It seems to me that a toothbrush would be more prone to bacteria and such, and I would not put somebody else's into my mouth.
