I'm happy to hear the news ,yesterday I went out to buy some food ,but the assistant didn't give me a bag ,at first I did't concern it ,Unit now I know the news . I think it a progress in our country.Although you can spend 0.1 yuan to get a plastic bag ,but as time passed ,I believe we select to take a paper bag when go to shopping . I hope without any plastic rubbish in our country ,every year we spend a lot of money to deal those rubbish. But there are many works need to do .I believe we can success.

And the two big supermarks around where I lived hang a banner in the front of the door , it said , according our national law , the litter plastic bag selled 0.1 yuan , the middle ,0.2yuan , if you want a large size, you should pay 0.3yuan .

Usage of plastic bags is not a crime. But it will effect the whole environment and the impact on all the who live on this earth. Instead of affecting all the people on earth its better to avoid plastic usage. its not a big problem to use paper materials instead of using plastics. We all know the reason behind the nonusage of plastices is they are non biodegredable, which may cause air ,water, soil pollutions, which may affect the surroundings also. i think my way of appraoch is write

Although it's not convenient for us, but I think it's better that we use less plastic bags as it will be better for our environment. I already get used to bring my own bag and that's no problem without a plastic bag. I love China

I wish we had a law like that! Every time I see bags on the sides of the road or on the banks of streams, I give myself a little pat on the back for not littering and for not using them. I muchly prefer the cloth bags that I've been using for the past year or so. Congrats to your country for taking such a step! :)

A similar thing is happening in the UK. I think it was the 1st of June here too, but we haven't 'prohibited' anything. Plastic bags aren't suddenly an illegal substance. The main thing that has been implemented in our supermarkets is that plastic bags now have to be purchased. At least one supermarket has also made it policy to store the plastic bags under the customer services desk, so that the customer has to specifically ask for them. I have used fabric shopping bags for a couple of years now, they are much easier to pack, you don't run the risk of the handles breaking on the way home, and they're better for the environment.

You're from China right? I have read the news, and seem that result quite good. Some market state that they decrease the usage of plastic bag by more than 90%. Of course some little problem might still exist, but if every have the will to protect environment, everything can be done easily. My country don't have many environment protect project, even the recycle bin cannot seen on street, or have been broke by vandalism.

Hmmm, my country is currently at the stage of educating and instill how plastic bags are harmful to the environment. We are now trying to introduce shopping bags to be used at supermarkets and having like bans of plastic bags once every week. I would say it is working, but not drastically. We all still need time to stop plastic bags altogther. However, I think it will be tough to ban plastic bags usage because we were taught to use plastic bags to clear our rubbish especially for food (prevention of pests). If there's no more plastic bags here, I don't dare to imagine what will happen to our neighbourhoods.. probably full of cockroaches, flies and who knows what! Actually other than plastic bags, we are also trying to cut down the usage of foam boxes with the introduction of paper boxes made of recycled paper or something like that. This product is much easier for us to accept than without plastic bags I think..
