Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

I also love grilled cheese and tomato soup. Tonight I had the pasta version of it - macaroni and cheese with stewed tomatoes blended in. Quite tasty!! Sometimes, we need to go back to childhood and revisit those simple pleasures - besides, making something that quick and easy is a welcome break!!

I haven't had either of these two great comfort foods for ages, let alone served together. My husband makes great grilled cheese, only he uses so much butter that you can hear your arteries shrieking just to look at it. that's what makes it taste so good of course! The best tomato soup in the world is Heinz, even better than home made. I add a swirl of cream, a sprinkle of herbs, some grated cheese or some Worcestershire sauce.

We love grilled cheese and tomato soup. i've never put anything in our tomato soup. i've seen the commercial where it says to add stuff, but i've never tried it. we had salisbury steak with gravy and green beans and potatoes for supper tonight. grilled cheese and tomato soup is on our menu for sometime this week or next.

Well I am a cook in a retirement home, and I had to laugh when I saw this discussion, cause I'm so tired of seeing this on the menu at work. The residenats love it though. Tonight I made them fried eggs and cheese on whole wheat english muffins.

I like grilled cheese with any soup. I usually eat minestrone. I forgot about how yummy tomato soup is. Have you ever tried putting sliced tomato on your grilled cheese? Oh, that's tasty.

OMG! I love grilled cheese and Tomato soup. Wow! I just saw this discussion as I was trying to figure out what to make for dinner. I haven't had this in a long time. This sounds just wonderful! I usually add a bit of basil and touch of oregano to my tomato soup .... I've gotta go make dinner now .... yummmmmmm
