Do you like taking online classes?

I'm taking a summer class this summer and thankfully I do not have to stay on campus to take it. This class is an online class that I can do at anytime day or night as long as I complete my work by the end of each week I'm OK. The work seems pretty light too. Each week I read a chapter in my book, take a 10 question true or false quiz and then post on the class discussion board. I will have a few larger assignments to complete but overall it doesn't seem so bad. I have taken online classes however that have been terrible. I took a nutrition class online my freshman year that had a 50 question test and a 5 question essay do every week. Then, I had three or so fairly large assignments I had to do along with the tests and essays every week. It was terrible and I spent far more time on that class than I did any other class. So far, I'm enjoy the class that I am taking online right now. I'm sure when I have the large assignments to do, I won't like it but right now, it's not so bad. At least it's not like the other class! Do you like online classes or do you prefer sitting in a traditional classroom? Do you have any online class horror stories to share? Success story?

I didn't know you could take online classes, I hated school when I was a kid but I quite enjoyed Adult Education classes some years later, I guess because I took classes foir what interested me but on-line classes sounds very interesting...

A lot of regular schools offer online classes and even offer minors through internet classes. I know my school offers several minors that can be completed online.

So far I haven't took any online classes but I have wanted to. To be able to do it at home on my own time is good and it can be done comfortably even in jammies..lol But when I was in school I did better when I could interact with a teacher and ask questions and get help when I needed it, but at home when I needed help I just got I don't knows, so doing online classes kind of scares me a bit because I don't want to fail because I don't understand something. I guess I am a hands on type of person that has to have things explained in detail to do well. Well I wish you the best of luck on your class.

I love the idea but I have not tried yet, I am reading really about it but I am not yet ready this time. I always have a nice experience by taking class in a traditional way but, given the chance, I would love to try online shot courses!

I've thought about taking my real estate or insurance license courses online. In my state, they offer the courses online so it takes less than two week to train. I don't really have two weeks to go sit in a class, so it would be much better for me. I don't have any online horror stories, but I have heard that some online courses can be grueling because there's little support.

I have been thinking about taking online classes and wanted to get an opinion. Now I will think more before I enroll.
