This morning I couldn't get on Mylot or Helium. Glad to be able to this evening.

I think I was able to get on. I would suppose it was that your internet provider was having some problems. I use Shaw, and usually we find it hard to get on in the winter when the power goes out. And it may not happen here in Manitoba, it happens somewhere in Ontario. So what may have happened is either they are upgrading and did not tell you or one of the cables broke and they had to repair it. It is too bad no one who lived in your area told you about it.
