The Yankees win their second in a row today against the Royals at Yankee stadium by a score of 6 to 3. The fireballing phenom, Joba Chamberlain, started today for the Yankees and went 4 1/3 innings as he continues to make his transition from set up man to front line starter. He gave up 2 earned runs and struck out 5. Journeyman Dan Giese picked up the win for the Yankees by pitching 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and striking out 3. Jose Veras pitched a scoreless inning and handed the game over to the Sandman, Mariano Rivera for his 16th save of the year. Johnny Damon, Alex Rodriguez, and Bobby Abreu each had 2 hits for the Yankees and Abreu and Jason Giambi both homered. The Yankees go one game over .500 with the win. They close out the series tomorrow the surprising Mussina (9 wins) going for the Yankees
