My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first child for a little over 16 months. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and Endometriosis. In April, I had a laparascopy to get rid of the Endometriosis and to tone down the PCOS. I am currently on Clomid and Metformin (Glucophage). This is my second cycle. I think we just miscalculated my ovulation date last month. There have been some nasty side effects from both the medications. Have any of you successfully gotten pregnant fast with a similar scenario?

I know this discussion was posted 5 months ago but I'm going in for laparascopy on Thursday November 6th for endometriosis removal and to check to see if my left fallopian tube is open and operating properly. Let me state that I have been married for 13 years with no luck in conceiving a child until this year, in June unfortunately we had an ectopic pregnancy which caused my right tube to burst. It took Clomid and hcg injections to get to that point. They had to burn the tube to stop the bleeding. Now being down one fallopian tube the doctor thinks we can start to try again. I'm a little scared I'm going to get results I don't want to hear but I have reading up on A.I. and invetro. I guess there is still hope. I hope being 5 months later that you have had luck in conceiving and if not my thoughts go out to you. Caliebell

Sounds like quite a journey - sorry I don't now much about this, just wanted to wish you both the best of luck.
