Has anyone notice price increases at WalMart?

I am a frequent Walmart shopper and I know that prices are increasing for everything and everywhere due to the economy. I still seem to find Walmart prices and rollbacks very economical and competive compared to other stores offering the same products but with a higher price tag.

I like to frequent Walmart, too, and one thing that I have noticed is that there sometimes appears to be a difference in price on certain items from Walmart to Walmart depending on the type of Walmart - whether it is a regular Walmart or a Super*Walmart.

Your right, not just Walmart though any store seems to have a difference in pricing depending on the location. If I go to the same store in the same city the prices are sometimes more or less for the same products. Thank you for responding.

I remember the first time that I discovered this. I lived about ten minutes from a Walmart and went to school about half an hour away, where another Walmart was located. The Walmart near my home was Regular, the one near my school was Super. I don't remember if it was printer paper or spaghetti sauce or what it was that I went to buy, but knowing the price at the Super, I was surprised to see it being *more* at the Regular. And still, Regular Walmart's prices were comparable if not better than what I could get at the "local" stores. (This is probably why so many areas resist having them come into town... they simply can't compete.)

UM WAL MART ONLY? Nope I've actually noticed it EVERYWHERE!! And of course if other companies suffer then even the cheaper ones will have to also. Unfortunately, once again it boils down to.... fuel prices..."My country tis of thee".......I never thought I would be so mad at my own U.S. of A. :[

Yeah I agree, the prices are going up everywhere including WalMart, but do you think that Walmart still offers the lowest prices than its competitors?

I have noticed their prices going up but I have noticed prices going up everywhere. I think that Walmart does still offer lower prices on many items, but sometimes Target has lower prices on some items. You just have to know your prices. Sometimes the grocery store has a sale and with coupons and if your store doubles the coupons it is a better deal at the grocery store. Again, you need to know your prices. I do most of my shopping at Walmart because they are lower for day to day prices than my grocery stores. The only thing I don't like about Walmart is that they do not accept internet printed coupons. They say they don't because of potential fraud. What a load of you know what! :D
