Okay, to update you guys, today's our first day in school. I only have one subject which is Religion Education 1 with the Description of Introduction to Christian Faith. I am studying in a Catholic School. But answers from anyone is more than welcome. Now, my first assignment is to interview people. As them just one question: What is faith? Also, please include your profession since our instructor also asked us to include that. Thanks in advance. :)

Hello nanayangel, Faith for me means a belief or freedom. Belief in anything/something in life, whether it is worth to believe or not, freedom in the sense that no one can dictate us what to believe, it is our personal choice due to influence or experience!

Yeah. For them. I must be getting really old because I don't like it at all. I want to get what I paid for, or what I should be paying for but not technically. Anyways, I have learned that our instructor was brought to the hospital, he just recovered from a stroke and it took him five years to recover and the doctor advised him to just rest. So he won't be handling our class anymore and we'll have a new instructor next meeting.

Hi there Che! Thank you very much for your response. I was ready to give the answers this morning but our instructor didn't show up. Well, at least I can add more answers.

Faith is a belief or conviction of something's existence without logical or material evidence. I am currently a stay-at-home-mom, previously an Elem. School teacher and before that a Financial Analyst. I hope you enjoy your class, nanayangel. Religion classes can be very interesting.

You're welcome. You deserve it. You're right. That's one of the reasons why I chose to study to become a teacher. God bless and have a nice day.

Faith can be described as many different things to many different people. To me it's having the utmost trust in something that I cannot see or touch: God. I have a trusting relationship with him that all things will work out the way they are supposed to.

Faith to me means belief and trust in, so if you use it in a religious context it means that you trust in and believe in your religious teachings. I don't have a profession right now. I suppose you could call me a housewife if you needed to say something.

Haha, I was also asked this question when I was studying Ethics in university! For me, I think faith is believing or putting your trust in something that you can't comprehend with your five senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch). In the past, I always answered "believing in something you cannot see", but others countered by saying "What about wind? We can't see wind but it's there.", hence my new definition. PS: By the way, I'm a university student. Just in case you need it to be more precise, I'm studying Pharmacy.

Faith can be understood in the contexts of your religion (supernatural) and your relation to natural things. Spiritually, faith for me is believing in my God with utmost conviction, with no doubt and with full trust. In relation with natural things and people, faith for me is trust on someone or hope for the future. I am a business graduate. Enjoy your class!
