Hi, I'm having a problem with my paypal account. Are there any filipinos who have problems regarding it too? My account is unverified, so I can't withdraw money to my bank account. What are the possible solutions to this? Can we buy online using our paypal account even if it's unverified?

Hello to you. I have tried using my unverified paypal account as well to purchase things online and it went well. I guess it depends on the site on how they handle transactions. The first online purchase that I tried was at deviantART wherein I tried to purchase some patches. The transactions went smoothly until the delivery issue, which is separate from the online transaction, occured. They are now on-going with issuing a refund. The next one I tried was just recently at ebay wherein I tried to purchase a UMD game. The post clearly stated that buyers should have verified paypal accounts as well as confirmed shipping address. I could only comply with the latter and inquired the seller if I can try to purchase it with my unverified paypal account. After being allowed, during the transaction process, paypal insisted that I full up some bank account details that will verify my account. It seems that paypal requires its members to have their accounts verified to enable them to do online purchases. I even inquired the same question that you have asked on your post and they only replied with step by step instructions on how to get my account verified by updating my paypal account with a bank account. "As much as we really wanted to assist you, you must have added funding sources particularly a credit card on your PayPal account." Some sites allow unverified paypal accounts while others, like ebay, requires verified paypal accounts when purchases online are made.

If you have an unverified paypal account then you should verify it using your creditcard. usually they might require you to send them the copy of your credit card latest bill. unverified means that you can send payment (such as online purchase) only for a limited number. I don't think it's possible to receive payment if you're unverified.

I don't think we have to send a copy of the credit card bill, jofeli. We only have to check the bill, because the paypal code that will be needed to finish the verification process is indicated to the bill. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Well, a few friends of mine have to send their CC bill in order to get verified. It seems that Paypal is really cautious about their members. They somewhat suspect some of the cardholders to be a scam/CC fraud or something. That's why I advise to my friends that we should get a CC/Debit card from reputable banks. thx :)

i have my account verified via a credit card. it was so easy, actually. i have also added a bank account but it took them more than 15 days to credit to my account. and it seems as though the bank charged me extra for the funds received.

Can you verify your paypal account with your bank account? With that, Paypal links to your bank account. When you withdraw, they just deposit the money into your bank minus a service charge.

Your paypal account should be verified using a credit card or a debit card. It only cost $1.95 which will be credited from your card. If you have no card, you can ask somebody to use his card. After your account is verified, the said amount will be returned to you and will be deposited to your paypal account.
