What do you love to buy????

This question is not as direct as it sounds. It's no secret that I make my own soap and sell it on various sites. I love it and use it but I get bored of my scents. So what do I do???
I buy soap from other handmade soapmakers. I love to see everyone's works of art and I love to use their scents. Recently, I got a bar of fab Cocoa Butter Soap (thanks Dancing Mooney) and I have to tell her that I love love it!! Thanks to all the handmade soapers and myself my skin is amazingly baby soft.
So what's the problem???
I have too much soap and I buy too much soap. LOL I can't stop. I buy in excess and I have a ton of it. Of course, it gets used by the kids and I but I think I'm addicted to buying it and trying it. It's in fact what I usually spend my mylot money on.
To make this a discussion, do you buy anything you already have too much of? If so, what and why do you love it so much? It can be anything. But tell me what are you addicted to buying?

Have you thought of going into body washes? I love body washes. I buy alot of it thinking you can never have to much of it. Especially when it is on sale I usually grab it from Avon or Walmart when it goes on sale. My husband is a soap person his favorite being Irish Spring. I love vanilla,lavender, and sweetpea scents. We also go haywire on shamppo having 9 bottles of the same shampoo at once fro Avon when it went on sale for $1.99 a bottle.

I also love body washes, shampoos anything that will make me feel better and lift my spirits, I usually buy shampoo at costco. The Kirkland brand is a real good buy and mostly natural..it's been a long dream of mine to make natural products for the hair, body face etc. Lavender is a great scent..it has healing properties..if I could grow lavender where I live I would probably have lavender everything..then I could send all of you a lavender something...maybe a glassed enclosed lavender candle...

That is nice Ariel, just the thought counts. We buy dandruff shampoo and the generic is usually $2.00 at the dollar store and elsewhere so when Avon comes on sale we grab it. I also love lilac which make me remember my grandmother who had a yard full of htem before she passed away, I have been wanting to get a lilac bush and call it my memory bush in memory of my grandma and grandpa who both loved them. The scent, the color, and the beauty of a lilac will be a good accent bush in any yard or home if you get a dwarf lilac.

I have and I'm going to soon. I have a potential seller for the base. I don't know how to make body wash but I do know someone who does. What I try to avoid is sulfates and unnecessary chemicals. I have to be sure any body wash I sell doesn't have anything like that in it.:) I'm working on it and they won't be expensive and the beauty is I can scent it anyway that anyone wants.:) Stay tuned and thanks for stopping by!

I buy books and perfumes SKinnyC.... I am a sucker for a beautiful scent. I adore florals but only single tones , such as Gardenia, Lilacs, roses, honeysuckles. I also like to buy things for my home. I have eclectic tastes and collect several things. Angels, frogs, elephants and at one time Indians but not any Indian had to be women and children.

You should stop by Etsy.com if you have eclectic tastes. There are some beautiful things for the home and you can find some deals from wonderful crafters and artists. I have to say I'm kind of addicted to home things too. Mystical art mostly but there is some pottery, I'm dying for. :)

Books. I am a sucker for a good book. I do get some beauty stuff as well. I keep an arsenal of bubble bath(I am a serious advocate of one)as well as epsom salts and nice soaps to give myself a refreshing bath. One can never get enough of one. I also have a growing number of dvds that I have like about three to four organizer containers. Interesting question.

Well, for my bath, hair and stuff I have about three more, plus two to store kitchen ware and the like. But the four I have was for my dvds alone. It keeps me pretty organized. Eventually, I want to get a nice bookcase because the one I have is just tearing apart.

Hmmm...some of these discussions on addictions are challenging for me to respond to. As you know I do my best to live with the Buddhist teaching..."All our suffering comes from our attachments." So with that as my life intent getting overly fixated or attached to things no longer works for me.
I like a little of everything within the "keep it simple" philosophy David and I have. Too much "stuff" creates clutter...and I do not like clutter. When I have too much of anything I thin it out and pass it on...to a friend...or donate it to a local women's shelter or thrift store.
I collect owls...wolves and butterflies...and hats...but only those that I have a place for and that really 'speak' to me when I see them. I like jewelry, earnings but I am not addicted to buying any of them either. So there you go my buddy...sorry, no real addictions...but I do enjoy shopping for special things at special times.

Great to be chatting with you again too my special friend. I find your love of soap interesting and the passion and creativity you have for it is uniquely you! Good to know you are "doing what you love" with your own soaps.
Yes, I enjoy shopping too...but not the way I once did. It used to be a distraction and stress reliever for my mother and I when I was younger. We used to do marathon gal-pal days and often truly did "shop until we dropped."
Our term for it was 'recreational shopping' and boy could we blow a wad of money in one day. Now that I am happily settled into life with David the inner peace I feel in keeping our life simplified and focused I spend less and enjoy life more.
Great sharing ideas with you as always.

I do the same thing as you do when I have too much of something. But I enjoy shopping too much I think. LOL For someone who doesn't like clutter, I sure have a lot of it at times.
I think for me, while it may seem weird, soap is art. I enjoy looking at and using other people's creative soap. Alot of times I draw inspiration from it as well. That is right in line with my astrological sign so I blame the fact that I'm a Taurus. LOL

Hey,skinnychick!The most thing i bought must be clothes.I bought a lot but still wanna buy them.There are some new design and styles this summer,and i plan to buy one or two.Women are sll like clothes,is it right? o(n_n)o...
and i also buy some ear ring even i already have so many.I don't know why,just like it!If i didn't get it,i will feel not very comfortable.A little crazy,^^

Face wash.
I already own a LOT of it. I have so many different kinds as it is, but I still buy more. If I go into a body shop and see something new on the shelves, I buy it.
However I wish I could make soap!
It'd be so nice to make someething like that and sell it. I bet you make a little bit of money off that, too.

Awwww.... SHoess... mainly rubber shoes and some sandals. I love it so much! Oooooooopppppssss... I love to buy bags, any time of bags as long as I can use and keep it. Other things are novels, pocketbooks and some DVD movies or series. hehehe Cheers.

I love buying oil fragrances to burn in my oil burners. I buy so many it unreal!!! I buy lots of them and candles as well as incense sticks.

You and me both my friend. I make tarts out of my fragrance oils that I use for my soap, or just heat the oil and stink up the house. I have to say, I love doing that.

I love to buy anything dealing with beauty products. From hair care,makeop,perfume, to bath and body. I also am a huge lover of soap. There was a time way back in the day that I used to make soap as well 
I also like to buy myself clothing when I have the money and durning the summer I find myself buying baseball type of things .

Yeah,I think everyone has his own favourite.The difference in different attitudes towards buying things lies in the ability to control oneself.I think some are just more sensible than the shopping addict.Well,my favourite thing is the book.I just cann't stop buying whatever book I like even if I had read it in the library.It's fine!As you can afford it,you shouldn't be too worried.At last,I have to say being a handmaker of soap is really a funny thing!!!Haha!!Come on!

I am addicted to buy a lot of clothes for me when i have sen any costumes very atractive in the shop suddenly i purchase the set otherwise i cant able 2 sleep that that day but what's the fact is most of my cloths were i n same color with different designs .my mom scold me that why did i bought the same color still now i can't able able to change this habit.

Clothes shoppping is about the only shopping I like to do, or anything really that I want to get for myself. I buy a lot of ties and new shirt to wear them with. I also just went out recently and got some new shirts to wear out this summer.

Well...I don't think I'm addicted to anything at this time ..I go through stages..I use to be a shopaholic...wow..that does get expensive...I love clothes..accessories..shoes..handbags..I love taking care of myself and luv skin care..I have made some of my own facial cleansers and scrubs..what fun.. it's a good feeling to go into the kitchen and get things out of the refrigerator and cubbords.. make a healthy concoction and apply it to you face and body..usually the ingredients are better for your skin
and a lot less expensive..the only draw back is that because there are no preservitives in the home made they only last a couple of days then you have to make more..which is somewhat time consuming but still worth it...how nice that you make your own soaps..I'll check out your site..keep up the good work :)
