When you're shopping online, do you prefer free shipping or big discounts?

When you're shopping online, do you prefer to get a big discount off an item and pay full shipping? Or, would you prefer to pay regular price and get free shipping? When I'm shopping online, I would prefer deals that offer free shipping. Shipping can often cost up to $25, depending on the online store, so free shipping deals are most welcome. Sometimes the tiny 10% discount doesn't amount to more than a dollar or two savings. But, a free shipping deal is worth way more. For instance, over Christmas time, Target was offering a free shipping deal with $50 purchase. I wasn't able to take advantage of that deal. And, later when I went to purchase the same items on Amazon they wanted to charge me $19 for shipping! I could have saved a ton of money with online Target.

I guess i prefer free shipping items as well because it costs almost the price of the item i'm buying hahaha.. Usually the items are located far from my country and they ask for a big shipping amount. Well even items from my country costs a huge amount for shipping.

I agree with you on shipping. I would rather have it free. I have found a few items brand new at overstock.com ther shipping is under $ 3.00 on whatever you order there. I have ordered a few books from there myself and a few games

I love Overstock.com! They have everything. I like Amazon too. I like every online store. It's so hot outside now, that mere mortals should not venture out! LOL!

I've been eying and item online for awhile now and this past Sunday I finally broke down and bought it. They were offering free shipping all day on Sunday on anything in their store so I decided to take advantage of it. They've been offering discounted shipping for a few weeks, so free shipping didn't save me much, about $3 but it was the push I needed to finally go ahead and buy what I wanted. I was really hoping to get a bit of a discount but I couldn't find any discount codes either. But free shipping is great because normally, shipping with them is $7.79 through Fedex, and because of their discounted shipping I would have paid over $40, but I managed to pay only $39 because they don't charge taxes either! Free shipping is definitely what I'd prefer because sometimes it's just way too expensive.

I would prefer free shipping because usually I order from websites internationally and the shipping can be really pricey. Therefore, usually I am not looking for discounts when I shop, more important, I pay a lot of attention to shipping price myself.

I prefer free shipping. But I go shopping online looking for the item I want at the best price. Then, if free shipping is included, that makes the purchase better. If it is books, Amazon ships free for purchases over $25. When we are purchasing computer equipment, we always hunt for the companies who do ship free. Otherwise, we may be paying a hefty shipping price.

I much prefer the free shipping. It is outrageous how much companies charge for shipping these days, especially when you know it doesn't really cost that much to ship, they just charge the price because they know they can. Barnes and Noble ships things for free if you have a total of 25 dollars worth of online merchandise. That comes in handy.

Free shipping. That's the matter of online shopping. There's a need to fork out extra money for shipping.Without that, shopping online may just have their own price.Worldwide, lets get on free shipping.Hahaha!Jk..

Give me free shipping anytime.Because the cost of shipping is expensive.I like shopping on Amazon. And I always look for the best deals. So by combining items I don't have to deal with the shipping cost.Walmart is also good.I purchase the items online and have it sent to the store. Thanks for the good discussion Beauty.

I'll pick free shipping over big discounts. When I compute everything, I save a lot if I haven't paid on shipping as oppose to measly 5-10% discounts. On ebay, free shipping comes only when you've accumulated a certain amount. Or at least that's what I think how it works. What I do is to ask my friends if they'd want to buy something online and I'll get it for them. I use my card first and then when the package arrives, that's when I ask for payment. I get to help my friends and at the same time, avail of the free shipping that the store has.

It really depends I could get a great discount but then the shipping just adds up to the orginal amount. I would say free shipping in that case. If the shipping was already free anyways. Well that's a bonus -Sound

I love both. I like to wait until I can get both. At Amazon.com you can get free shipping if your order goes over $25 and a lot of the time the stuff there is on sale too, so a double whammy! I love shopping. And with gas prices being what they are now it is even better when you can get free shipping and get it on sale!! :D

I prefer fre shipping. It makes me feel like I'm not paying for anything extra. The product might not be reduced in price but I get it delivered to my house for nothing as opposed to burning the gas to drive to the store and get it.
