WHile I was on vacation one of my knees was bothering me and I met this woman who is the mother of my daughters best friend. Well she told me to take a bar of soap and put it under my bottom fitted sheet near the end of my bed and it would take the aching away....well I did it one night and it seemed that my knee didn't bother me like normal. Have you ever heard of a bizarre cure that really works? Tell me about them!

What an interesting idea. And to think it actually helped you. I'm impressed. I am going to try this tonight. I had such a bad start this morning with my back and hip. Was in so much pain, couldn't stand up straight and couldn't bend. Have been here all day and very bored but didn't feel good enough to go anywhere. I do have one question for you: did you take the bar of soap out of the wrapper or leave the wrapper on? Thanks for sending a possible cure my way.

I forgot to try it. Was so miserable I went to sleep and woke up feeling better this morning anyway. Hope your knee feels better.

Yes sometimes its all in the mind that cured it not the act of doing it. I think its called the placebo effect where you are made to think that it has curative effects when in fact it does not have it, but with your mind believing it has cures it makes you feel that your cured by it and sometimes its you who really made you cured by it. Its like the Aromatherapy thing it says that the smells cures some diseases just by inhaling those aromas but in reality it is all in the mind that really do the healing.

When my mom was a kid she had lots of warts. My grandma told her to tie a knot in a piece of string and rub it on the warts. Then go bury it out by the porch and her warts would go away. Funny thing is my mom said her warts went way very shortly after that.

I myself haven't heard of any bizarre cures, though I am sure that there are plenty of them out there. I wonder if that soap works on anything besides the knee?

I don't know if it really even works on the knee or if it's mind over pain kind of thing.
