What's your Solitaire "strategy"?

And not just when you're playing at pogo.com, but in general... When you're playing Solitaire, do you move a card to where it plays if it leaves a blank space and you don't have a King showing to move to the empty space? I have a freind (old boyfriend really) that would never move a card that left an empty place unless he had a King to move there. His reasoning was "What if another card showed up before the King that would play there" I remember thinking this was like waiting for something better around the corner. Needless to say, he's an x... My mom taught to me to play Solitaire (a LONG time ago with paper cards!) how she called "Vegas" Solitaire. She said if you didn't play the right card as soon as it was available, you had the deck taken from you and you're game was over. So, I always play my cards as soon as I have them.

It depends, sometimes I move it and other times I don't. Sometimes I don't even see it until later and then my cards start falling in place for me. hahaha I used to have a book with a bunch of different ways to play solitaire, that was before my computer days and I had a lot of fun.

Wow, now that you mention it, I do remember a book I have with MANY different solitaire games in it... I know it's here somewhere.... Sometimes I realized that I've missed a play too, and I think it was kinda silly of my to do so. But, I just play it and hope that I didn't miss too many other plays by being late with it.

My strategy is to keep the cards down bottom for as long as possible. Once you move them to the top its too late, and there are times when I could have gone further is I had not played a card up top too soon.

I have done that before also. Sometimes I like to see if I can get all the cards from K to 2 played at the bottom.
