Has anyone had such pain that they waited it out as long as they could befor they called to seek medical help? well last friday morning I woke up in such pain and knew I had pinched a nerve in between my right shoulder and neck but chose to try and get it to release by rubbing the area, putting ice on it, takeing advil every 6 hours ect. I even went to work every night and did my job there which is working in the dry gracery dept. at Walmart thinking the actual physical work might do some good of helping it pop it out from being stuck I found that when I kept moveing the area would go numb and not hurt as bad but when I stopped it would tensify and the pain would kick in. I know I was bad for doing any of this and not getting it checked out right away. I managed to make it 5 days now with the pain but can't take it no more and have made the call and set up an appointment for tomorrow ( Thursday ) at 2:30pm with the chiropractor. They are going to take exrays and see just how much damage is really done for me waitin so long and do some other things. I must say now that I am kicking myself for not going sooner but I figured it would work itself out and I would be ok but aparently not and it is causeing strain on the rest of my back now so it's time to call it quits on playing suck up the pain and go in and have it professionally looked at. So has any one had any kind of pain that they just ignored to long and fineally had to get help for it?

That is so coincidental. I had fallen off the ladder while painting my bathroom many months ago. It swelled up and turned colors, as ankles often do when they suffer such insult. I iced it, wrapped it up and went to work. After about a month, the colors and swelling subsided. It still ached almost all the time, especially when I was walking and mostly on the arch and heel. I kept getting teased about limping at work. Finally, yesterday I had had enough. I called the Dr and went in after work. She said that by not seeking medical attention right away, wrapping my ankle for so long and limping in a funny manner, I had caused a plantar fasciaitis. A few months of anti-inflammatories and I should be good as new.

That sounds really painful and it's good to know that you fineally got it checked out and you will be back on the road to recovery soon w/ the ani flammatories that you have to take. I am so stubborn at times for I just don't think the seriousness of things and the dangers it can lead to down the line til it's to late and oh yah then decied it's time to go like now. I just need to learn to stop trying to ignore the pain and cover it up like nothings really isn't wrong when something is.
