Swimming is a great fitness program. You should shower when you get back to wash off the chlorine. When you get out, apply your favorite lotion, bath oil, or even an oil from your kitchen (olive oil is good for the skin as is grape seed oil). This will protect your skin from getting dried out which is really the only problem with the chlorine. If you are having lots of dry skin problems then apply a little oil before you get in the pool and then after you shower. Before bed is also good. Just make sure that your skin is getting the moisture it needs!

I 've never heard that you can't go swimming everyday, just as long as you shower everyday to remove all residue of chlorine from body and hair.

Oh WOw!! seems like you share some common interests as of mine. Even i love swimming and i like it as a hobby which i like doing everyday. Well, according to me there is no harm in doing swimming on a daily basis as a fitness program but my parents and relatives had been complaining lately that my skin is getting darker due to swimming. I think using lotions can be a good idea for girls. However, I go for sauna bath or steam bath after swimming. Perhaps that may help a bit, but i dont find the difference myself. And as a girl, y do you worry.. there are a lots of fairness creams available in the market for girls.. Hey if you get some better idea, do let me know. i can't give up swimming so needs to find some alternative to protect my skin too

well, u can protect ur skin from the chlorine by maybe using skin lotions so that the water could not directly damage ur skin. swimming is also a good exercise, so u can go for it on daily basis if u want to. just dont forget to apply lotion. hapi posting!
