A few months ago I was listening to the radio and heard the J.K. Rowling might write an 8th Harry Potter in a few years. Is this true? Did any of you hear about this too?

I watched an interview with J.K. Rowling when the 7th Harry Potter book came out. I remember distinctly that she said that no more Harry books would come out, and that the only related book she might come up with is a complete History of Hogwart and Magic (sort of like the books Hermiony used to like so much). Anyway, I don't think there'll be an 8th book that continues with the Harry plot. Sorry, Potter fans...

Hi micpie. What I heard and readed in net is that J.K.Rowling maybe, only maybe, can write one more book but she don't think about this because all the big things are ending in the last book.

I agree. If J.K. writes another, she won't tell anyone cuz she doesn't want to be pressured. She wants to write it at her own pace. Earlier today I was thinking that she should make a new series that stars one of Harry's kids. Thanks for answering my question! (:

No, she said she wouldn't and I don't think it would be fitting. She is however working on an encyclopedia to her Harry Potter series. She sued a guy who wanted to publish one and now is supposively writing one herself. Something along that line. She is very law suit happy when it comes to the Harry Potter stuff.

I bet that was just a prank. I'm fairly certain that there won't be another Harry Potter book as much as I would like.
I mean, where would it go? Everything was kinda closed in the end (in a really cheesy way too)
Well it is possible though, with a quick internet search I got a link that says she may do a prequel. How reliable is the site? I don't know for sure.
So in the end, it would suprise me if she did make one, and I would be quite thrilled.
