How do you discipline your child? This isn't one of the discussions that should be a debate or you should she should kinda deal, so how do you discipline your child? My son is only 5 months old at the moment so there's no such thing as punishment for him but I show encouragement to the things that are good and praise him for that. When he gets older and starts to under stand things, I'm probably going to go to the corner method. It works for most children these days unless they are totally unrully, but at the moment Orion's not showing any signs of such. We will see though. I don't frown upon spanking but i think that should be done in rare cases mostly because "it's wrong" in society these days... I was spanked and I turned out just fine. Ok so what are your discipline methods?

Honestly, my discipline method is counting. I have really great kids (I know how lucky I am), two boys (six and eight). When they were little, they did get sent to the corner a few times. I couldn't spank them, I mean, I'm so big and they're so small....(yes, I do remember a spanking or two growing up)...I don't know, I guess I thought it would hurt me too. Anyway, if I call to them now and they don't come right away (and I think they should), or they do something they shouldn't, all I have to do is start counting: one...two... I've never gotten past two, they always come (or stop) so quickly, I don't know how far I would count or what would happen when I got there:) lol

My son is only a month old so I haven't had to go through that yet. But I think when that time comes I'm going to try the corner method, bad chair. Hopefully he'll be a good and well rounded kid.
