What happened to my Yahoo! account?

This day is a very bad day for. I don't think Friday the Thirteenth has something to do with this.
When I tried to log-in to Yahoo this morning, the Sign in to Yahoo page keeps coming back. It says that Invalid ID or password. Please try again using your full Yahoo! ID. So I tried to log-in again using my complete ID and email address, several times. Still, I was rejected.
I tried to recover my password for I thought maybe, if I was able to change it last night. But as I recall, I never did it. But just to make sure, I click Forget your ID or password at the lower part of the log-in page.
I have the process to recover or even change the password. I also done the process several times, until Yahoo says that my account was already blocked. Try again after 24 hours, it says.
I am really in bad mood today. I can't open my email. I can't get notifications from mylot. I don't know what to do.
I can still recover or open my account in Yahoo!?

hi neil, i did not encounter this kinda problem but hubby did, many times mostly last year. And what he did was, emailed the webmaster of yahoo. And they were very willing to help, hubby got a new password which was given by them. After a few minutes, he had access to his emails and change his password.

i just hope i can retrieve it. but it's been 4 days now and i still, i can't open that i account. what i did in the meantime is to use my other email account to receive my mylot notifications.

i already did it. i sent a message through yahoo's contact customer care for 2 times. but still, the problem exists and not yet solved.

So sorry to have heard about your Yahoo woes, but maybe it was a bad day all over the place for Yahoo users. On Friday, I couldn't get into my Messenger, which was less serious than your issue, but I had to delete my Messenger, go to Yahoo through Internet Explorer, then download Messenger 9.0 Beta. Not hard, but kind of unexpected and a bit time consuming.

yes, uninstalling and reinstalling back such programs are time consuming, better, your messenger was installed back and running. mine, really is worst as i cannot open the account until this time...

I didn't encounter this kind of problem with my yahoo account. I wonder why its blocked? For what reason?
I hope you could open your yahoo account soon and retrieve your mails. Perhaps yahoo just encountered a problem yesterday.

I really don't know what went wrong with my account. Anyway, I already reported the matter to Yahoo and they given me another 24 hours to wait for their response. Thanks, long...

I had that problem too before but It does not get to the point that my account has been blocked. I just want to ask, does anyone has access on your account? But I guess yahoo has been having problems lately. Just this morning, I can't logged on on my Messenger. I guess for the meantime, try to change your email that you provided here at myLot to your other email add so that you will still get your notifications. Goodluck best.

My log-in email address with mylot is different from my yahoo account so I have no problem with mylot. I also did change the forwarding address from my gmail account to my other yahoo account. Actually, the one that was blocked is my primary email address, that is why I am so worried about it. Thanks, gang...

I don't think it's due to maintenance as I can open my other account. It's been 24 hours or more now, so I came back to Yahoo to check if I can already come in. But still, I was rejected. I already sent a report to Yahoo and I am just waiting for another 24 hours for their reply... Thank you my friend...

My cousin faced same prob few days back. One thing about his account was, he was using @yahoo.com and not the country wise @yahoo.co.in etc. He was filling only his ID and the field was requesting complete email address.
So when fill the complete email address...like username@yahoo.com he was logged in.
Some changes where there in his account, layout wise. A new look has been given to the mail inner section.
So see if that is the prob. But know as you changed your password, it will take time to be in use.
I was logged in today with no prob. using @yahoo.co.in

I also tried it using the complete email address. But I still got rejected. That brought me to password recovery page. From that page I was told that it was already blocked, after I tried several times. Thanks anyway...

I also was almost victimized by these if not for a former teacher of mine who warned me. I received an email from my former teacher telling me that someone used my email account and chatted with him that he was using my account and he was able to hacked into my account. He gave my username and account password and proved that he indeed was able to access my account. He then said in my email to chaneg my password as soon as possible which i did immediately. I am glad that teacher of mine was able to warn me if not maybe I will be in the same situation as you are now.

sorry for late response buddy.
maybe there is a system error that time of yahoo. many time i experience the same but after tomorrow i can log-in again to the site. some also caused by you computer. don't worry buddy it will be fixed.

it also happened on me once and the result of it was the stupid virus lol aside from that, i can't also upload some pics on my friendster account. so i just reformatted my laptop and voila it works lol but if the problem's not on your pc, i think the problem is on the yahoo itself

i really think it is with yahoo. until now, i have not logged in to my account. luckily, i am using different email address here in mylot. but the worst with it, i can't retrieve the informations, the email address of my friends in the address book. grrrr... thanks...

thanks a lot sofelele for helping. actually, i never had the chance to open my yahoo account until now. the one i used here is a different email and my problem with my yahoo account is that i have everything there in my address book. that is one of the most important thing that i want to access my yahoo.
