So, what happens next?

Do you think that J.K. Rowling will come out with any more Harry Potter books? I think that it would be a good idea for her to do at least 1 more book. Anybody else want to know what happens after Voldemort is defeated? I know at the end of the book there is a flash forward, but what about the years in between?

I'll feel happier if she comes up with another book. I want to know what happens after the dark lord has been defeated and what happens next to the other Hogwarts students. I'm intrested in what happened to Seamus, Dean Thomas, Luna, Cho and the others. And I want to know what happend to George and the Weasleys (if Mr. Weasley had been promoted) and how the Ministry is. I also agree with you. I want to know what happened in between. I mean, its hard to deduce what ever happend to Hogwarts after the war...did the school reopened? What happend to Hagrid and Grawp? And how did Hermione found his parents? And what was Harry's first job? Why didn't he become a teacher at Hogwarts? What happened to the Dursleys? What happened to Umbridge? And I think, if JK would write another book about the wizarding world, I think I would like if it is Dumbledore's life. He seemed very interesting...And his life had been full of adventure... Good reading!

I heard on the radio that she is thinking about writing an 8th book in a couple of years. And if she writes one, I want her to really think about it and make a really good one, like she usually does. Not just slap some crap up in a year because the fans can't wait. The other day I was thinking that instead of writing another "Harry Potter" book she should write a whole new series where the main character is one of Harry's children and the adventures of him and Ron and Hermione's kids. Maybe one of their friends could be Draco Malfoy's children. Maybe Draco is a close friend of Harry now since they smiled and nodded to each other in the last chapter of book #7. The possibilities are endless, Miss Rowling just has to take a grasp on them. Well, who knows what will happen, but I hope it's for the best. Sincerely, Michael Pietrzykowski

My kids would love the series to just keep going on and on. But Rollings has said that she is only writting so many books. Maybe then a new series that will captivate the kids just as much.

That remains to be seen. She certainly has made enough money not to worry about it. She may colaberate with someone who has a fresh perspective. Rowling may come up with new characters all together. Time will tell.

I hope so?But Rowling herself said she will not write any books about Harry. So let's hope she will charge her mind or write books about someone else, that is possible.

I had read somewhere that she was supposed to write 8 books. It seems like she changed her mind somewhere along the way. I would like to see another book or two about Harry or even some of the other characters.

Well, she has said she won't rule out another book. She may just be burnt out after spending so many years on these books. She may feel the need to tackle something else. I know I would tire of doing the same thing for a decade and would be ready to take on a new challenge. Personally, I would love to see another book. I'm a huge fan, as is my 12 year old daughter. I just don't see it happening, at least not for a while. Maybe she will try something else and come back to it later.
