Why Did This Happen?

I went back to one of my discussions and just happen to click on a tag. Was looking for other craft articles. Why did myLot post my first and last name from a quetion I asked them? I sent them a private message about something. I have nothing to hide but still think privacy needs to be practiced. I don't know if I am the only person who can see this but think tags on any article are available for all members to see. Am I right? Do I have the right to be irritated? Hope this discussion isn't deleted.

I'm sorry that happened to you. We have to try to be so safe these days. I would hate it if people knew my first and last name online. They could make me go through the identity theft or other things. that is very scary. I guess we are never too safe in anything that we do in life or online.

I would hope that it is not out there for others to see since it was a private message. I sent them a message a while back about not being able to send private messages and was surprised to see it in my private message box but never got a response from them so I deleted it. When I wrote them about my problem it was not sent as a private message is why it caught me off guard.

I sure thought tags were out there for all members to see on any discussion. I have nothing to hide but at the same time, I don't want my last name posted. Hopefully I can delete it but still am going to email them and ask why and how this happened. We all deserve some sort of privacy. Does this mean that any member who has emailed myLot about a situation has both their names posted on the site? That just doesn't seem right. Thanks for responding.
