Hi There, I have an interesting habit. I always put my fan on at night when I go to bed. It could be freezing outside but I still always put it on. I just can't seem to get to sleep without it. Even when I go away on vacations I bring it with me. It drives my girlfriend crazy. I think I must need the noise of the fan or something which kind of lulls me to sleep. What about you? Do you use a fan when you sleep?

Yes. My husband and I use a fan when we sleep. We have an oscillating fan and a ceiling fan to use. We hardly ever have to turn the ceiling fan on though. We have to have the fan on when we sleep though because it will get humid in our room sometimes with the door shut. We also like for the room to be cool so we can sleep better.

Dear friend, I mostly use fan and even if I sleep in Air conditioned rooms I find more better in rooms with fans. But during winter if it is too cold I would switch off the fan and during summer a fan is must and that too it will be put in the fullest speed. But while going for sleep if I do not have any fever I do always switch on during the night if I feel so cool I would switch it off. It is a habit during summer for me that I cannot sleep without fans and in winter if I feel hot I could not sleep without fan.

Yes I too keep a fan on at night. I find that it is soothing and best of all it covers any noise the is out side especially barking dogs. It's called white noise.I can do with out one though when I'm not at home. I even turn the fan on when I want to take a nap during the day.

I keep the exhaust fan in th bathroom on and I have a humidifier with no water. It is the noise I think! If I don't have these on, it is too quiet!

We used to sleep with a fan but it broke and we still have not replaced it. I miss it, I really love sleeping with a fan on. I love how cool the room gets and being able to snuggle under my down comforter. Now I've just been putting the AC down to 70 degrees before I got to sleep at night. I'll need to make sure I put a fan on my list for the next time I run out into town.

Yes! I can't sleep without it and all my kids use them too. My bedroom window is close to a busy street and the soft humming of the fan is just enough to cover up some of the noise. I also thing the soft breeze is comforting too as I grew up in an area where the wind would constantly blow. I can't sleep without one. My oldest daughter actually travels with one too! LOL

I started using a fan when I slept, back in 1972, while I was a truck driver in the military in Viet Nam. At that time it was nice to have steady air blowing on me to help reduce the extreme humidity. After my discharge, I drove truck cross country for 30 years, and found that I always slept better with the fan on me. My first 2 wives hated the fan on, especially in the winter, but, I have gotten to where I can't even get to sleep without the fan on me. My wife now, doesn't mind the fan going all year long, so that makes it much easier.

Not me but I could suggest that you need a white noise machine to help you sleep , you could use tapes of the wind, or the ocean, any soothing montonous sound that would lull you to sleep. only time I ever use a fan is if my rooms just too too hot then only for awhile as the fans noise would drive 'me bananas for sure.

We are lucky enough here not too ned a fan at night ,in the UK its not that warm at nite, but I see where you are coming from, the noise of the fan running must drive you mad really. We dont really need a fan in summer ,its never seems to be too hot in the summer here either.

I have a few times when I am getting ready for bed but that's only if it's extreamly hot in my house I haven't been using one for the longest time though sense it's been staying steady and cool outside not to mention my house as well.. My husband will sleep with one though but I always tend to get cold and need more blankets..

I use a fan for the white noise. The t.v. in the next room keeps me awake and it is so annoying.

I don't even own a fan in my house, I don't think I could ever sleep with a fan on as the noise would annoy me and I would not be able to sleep. I really could do with one right about now though as I have been way to warm the past few nights.

We have a cieling fan that is always on, no matter what. It just keeps the air circulating so it does not get stuffy in the house!

If I'm hot I do. Although I never use my ceiling fan anymore because my guinea pig gets cold easily so I have to bring in a freestanding one to use.
